Nearly forgot a nice pic of the engine bay, Ryan (Prodriverules) did all the work on the car.
He's not just excellent at the bodywork side he wields a pretty nifty spanner as well.

Plus the all important dyno plot from the car's recent mapping session at Enginetuner, many thanks to Martyn, Alan and all the other staff there for their sterling work.

Stunning Ty, you can take full credit for that mate!
It's not just the cost that goes into it, imagination, planning, patience etc! Anyone can put wheels, brakes and exhaust on a car but that is the whole nine yards mate....pat on the back

Nothing every quite goes to plan and if it does then you are weary of something other spanner being thrown in later.

I appreciate the kind words, I have taken some guidance on the direction to take but it's not turned out too badly in the end.

Looks stunning Ty, after seeing the teaser pics it's nice to see the finished product. Are there any plans for the calipers, seems a bit of shame having them mismatched.

I know what you mean about the scoop but underbonnet temps have improved considerably since the reverse vent was fitted.
I agree the scoop is an iconic part of the Impreza but the Chargespeed reverse vent is about the best vent on the market and really does it's job very well indeed. Another benefit is that the bonnet really doesn't flex at high speeds with the reverse vent fitted, with the scoop fitted you can see the bonnet move.
Feels good being back in a GC8. Btw.. its blue! I thought I would never say this but it looks bloody gorgeous! Shines up nice.

Yes thats right. Sold the Blob as the money was good & after a few months I started getting bored. Didn't take too long until i started the hunt. Came across a Type R stored away in a barn since it was imported in 2011, it needed some tlc & the price was a give away so thought why not?

I've got all the receipts for what has been spent but I just plead ignorance of the grand cost, what I don't know can't worry me too much...

As a rule of thumb when it comes to modifying cars you start off with a budget but it always goes out of the window after not too long and you just open your wallet, then just watch the money fly away.

For now I only got this pic, still has no owners & original Jap auction key ring!
Back to your thread, cars looking hard as always, hopefully we will have a good catch up at the event in Sep. Keep up the good work

Your Type R is looking like a real peach of a car, that must have been a really good find.
I did start to add up all the costs including the car at one point but I got frightened and I decided that I'd prefer not to know.

I've sold an LM400 turbo and MAP DCCD controller to a guy from Lithuania, quick payment and no messing about unlike a lot of UK buyers.
All the rare or best modified cars leave never to grace our shores again.
I'd imagine around £10K or so but they are nearly all being bought up by buyers from the continent or the old eastern block countries.
