Well I seem to have struck a few raw nerves here, thats for sure

I must say that I am quite dissapointed that one is not, seemingly, allowed to hold an opinion that many disagree with. I'm all in favour of people having opposing views and venting them, but this has now become a personal and quite abusive attack.

No wonder the various religions can't stop fighting, and the world is in such a bad position with terrorism and the rest if my views on this particular subject can ellicit such a response

Very few on this board know me personally, so its really quite funny to be judged on one opinion .

But then I'm a child murdering psycho apparently

I'm also honest, which is more than can be said for many on this BBS . Thank you to those who, whilst disagreeing with my view, accepted that I have the right to hold it.

This was a hypothetical point after all. I sincerely hope I NEVER have to make that choice. Whatever the outcome, I would have to live with it for a very long time.

I am not going to defend my "character", despite the numerous adverse comments, because I don't feel the need, and really don't care what anyone tyhinks of me based on a view I hold...LOL..

I do value life, be it animal or human I am not a veggie, though, so am I also a hypocrite? Probably, but then so is everyone else. Having said that, if I had a pet cow, I wouldn't eat that

So, I guess none of you ever drive at innapropriate speed, or take risks in your cars that could endanger human life.

I guess you never turn over the TV when horrendous images of human suffering and starvation are broadcast.

I guess none of you ever pass the charity collector on the street with a wave of "sorry, too busy"

I guess you've never walked past a homeless person in the street and thought "get a job"

I guess none of you think "its OK its not my problem" when thousands are being killed in countries less politically stable than ours.

I guess none of you laughed at the jokes following September 11 attrocities.

If you can answer no to all of the above, then fine, come on here and preach about humanity, morality (eh Crispin?) and the value of human life. If you can't then don't be such a hypocrite and start ranting at me because I'm honest enough to admit something you don't like.

Yesterday was a bad day. After 15 years my beloved cat, Tigger, passed away in her sleep. I am devastated and don't know what to do with myself. I had the cat from a kitten when I was 6 years old and has always been there for me.

Any tips on how to move on as I just feel like a part of me is missing now.

Geoff will haev great fun with his new kitten. Especially if he chases it around the house with a vacuum cleaner - not worry kittens get used to the noise after awhile

Deano - some fish live for a very long time

Totally understand where your coming from Diablo - and as for Geoff - he's probably given up on this good thread turned bad - but mucho sympathies to you Geoff - had my cat 10 years now and can't picture my house/life without him... Still put some pictures up to remember your cat and move on I guess...

Thanks for your feedback Diablo,

I'm neither judging you nor telling you what to do, or who to be, or what to wear, or how to drive, or what to laugh at for that matter, or who or what to choose to kill......I'm just saying that in my humble opinion, your opinion is...., well I think it bites.....

Crispin, I have no probs with that

Molds, if it bores you, don't read it

In the interests of getting on with more important issues, lets put this one to bed now.

ChrisL I think Cyril's problem was that his nuts where to big for one handed manipulation

Diablo you said the following

I'm also honest, which is more than can be said for many on this BBS

Would you care to share with us, in what way these people are dishonest and who you are referring to? So we can protect ourselves from these people.

Diablo,
You're on a downward spiral here m8. This thread which I feel warranted greater sensitivity has been overun by posts with little relevance.

I would guess Molds comment is due more to frustration than boredom. Despite attempts to focus on the topic, spurious issues prevail. We now have another on dishonesty, which if debated will at least ensure the thread gets locked.

More sympathy with a little less inflating of egos and polishing of halos would be more constructive
