Liverpool fever has hit Melbourne, a massive crowd at the stadium and the city has turned red with flags scarves and red shirts everywhere.

Suarez has thrown his toys out of the pram, and doesn't get them back

No player is bigger than the club.

First offer of a tenner gets a player that shows no respect for his club, manager or supporters.

Can't believe it has taken until now for Lfc fans to wake up to this fella.

Disgraceful way to treat your football club, but not unexpected.

I saw it last month post #25.
Fans on the street were 50/50, now I think there is none in favour of keeping him after this.

Good on Brendan for standing up to Suarez.

I was more referring to the general lfc fans "on the street" so to speak not those in here.

Yeah I've been impressed with Rodgers throughout.

OK people as you know I am not a footy fan and rarely post in here, but every bloody day I listen to the radio or watch the TV and the sports news comes on I hear another load of crap about this Suarez bloke!

Why are Liverpool so insistent on keeping him, why keep a player that doesn't want to play for you no atter how good he is? Yes I know he's a great player and worth a firtune/is an assest and all that, but what message does it send out to the rest of the dressing rom etc. etc.

I would imagine that a football team playing in the Premiership is like a well oile machine and everything needs to be harmonious to get 100% out of them. week in week out... can Liverpool really say their team is harmonious with this guy wanting to leave. training alone etc. etc.

Sorry, but to an outsider it makes no sense! Tevez pulled a similar stunt last year I am led to believe and Manchester City lost the championship by a country mile... not saying that was the sole reason, but.... it can't help can it???

That and I am sick of hearing about it LOL!

Because they don't want to sell him to a rival premiership team.
They would rather let him go abroad, but having said that, they don't have a replacement for him right now either.

Why? From what I hear it's not like they are realistic contenders for the title!

Why destabilise your own team to prevent another gaining an advantage! It's stupid!

Title contenders no, but you would have to say that if Liverpool have any hope of getting in the top 4 then they can't sell their best player to the one team that is likely to be a direct rival for 4th. They need to make it clear that if he is to leave then it will be to another league and for a price they think is acceptable. I do think it has gone to far to say that he's not for sale whatsoever, Liverpool haven't the resources to sit an asset of his value in the reserves and as you say it benefits no one.

Whenever a player is 'not for sale' it usually means that he is, but the buyer must pay a higher premium.
Suarez will end up in a non-UK club.

Nice little win at the weekend Decent first half display and stifled them in the second. They struggled to cope with Coutinho and the frustration was pretty apparent

All the while we can turn what would have previously been a draw into a win, we'll do well.

Happy with the defensive signings, especially Sahko Looking forward to seeing Moses in a red shirt too

Liverpool fans welcome return of utter hopelessness

SUPPORTERS have applauded Liverpool’s return to comedic woefulness following yesterday’s defeat at Hull.

Protestors outside the KC Stadium had demanded that the Liverpool board bring back the slapstick style of play that fans have enjoyed over the last few decades.

The demonstration was headed by former player and beloved physical comedy performer Djimi Traore, who managed to fall over three times and accidentally set fire to his banner.

Manager Brendan Rogers said: “We rested Danny Sturridge to make sure he stopped his run of scoring goals and Skrtel continues to be the most brilliantly uncoordinated man I’ve ever worked with, so it all went to plan.

“It’s one thing losing to quality teams like Southampton and Arsenal but if we really want to challenge for a bottom-four place we have to be having our **** handed to us by the small boys, too.”

The return of Joe Allen to the side, whom fans affectionately refer to as ‘Like if Xavi had a stroke’, and the continued existence of Iago Aspas, all bode well for Liverpool’s future mediocrity, but most agree that Suarez needs to leave as soon as possible.

Liverpool fan Wayne Hayes said: “He may be an abusive cannibal with a dubious centre of gravity near the penalty area but the way he controls the ball and makes it go in the net just isn’t the Liverpool way.

“Igor Biscan. Jan Kromkamp. Bjorn Kvarme. Now they were proper old-school bags of ****.”

Thanks hadn't had the chance to see them yet.

Great technique aided by some god awful defending from Norwich again
