LOL...the immigrants probably have the main guy's job. AND those of a lot of the young ones on there. The jobs they USED to do in this town are now almost 100% immigrant jobs.

And all for some Lying Labour ideal...

the thing that worrys me is that the hard working familys are only having one maybe two children on average
and these dole scrounging idiots are having 8-10 children for god sake we are getting
bred out by these scrounger wasters and I would imagine alot of those kids getting brought up in households like that would follow in their parents footsteps
" saying that there will be some of those children who make it into a working life but I think more will turn into scroungers as well "

It's the same everywhere really, I lived in Hull till six years ago, there are multiple estates with this problem.

I worked in South Leeds, Beeston + ruck-sack, say no more....

There are two types :-

Firstly those who are third generation spongers, and have never bothered to try.

And then there are the criminals, druggies, etc.

You can only blame every Government since the 60's, ask a Pole what his education is and he'll have a degree, ask those shown on TV show as "entertainment" the same question ?

£25K Darf Sarf is minimum wage, barely enough to pay for a train ticket to/from Leeds every day !

dunx

P.S. A documentary isn't a vicious attack, it's reality TV without a wardrobe budget !

The product of a wasteful benefit system, no real punishment and poor schooling. Tell me what politician there is to vote for to sort out the benefit system? There aren't any. Give a wedge of money to some low level IQ morons and of course they won't want to better themselves or their kids or show some initiative. Let's just hear the oft quoted boll0cks about there being no jobs and it being someone elses fault. High time this gimmie gimme culture is replaced by some personal responsibility.

I think you are 100% right, but are we at the point of no return. How do you rectify this problem, you cut their benefits and see a bigger segregation in society with crime rising to compensate for those worse off. Or we throw more money at trying to adjust their lifestyle which will most likely be taken advantage off as it has in the last 20 (?) years. We have managed to ruin the country to a point of make or break IMO

Wrong, 'we' haven't managed to ruin anything, 'they' (the lying politicians) have managed to break it, namely Labour.

Stop all new benefits to anyone that hasn't worked for at least 5 years, stop all tax credits and child benefit, have a maximum of 5 years of benefits claim for your entire life, implement these changes for present claimants in 5 years time, re introduce grammar schools, introduce corporate sponsorship schemes for local schools, raise the pension age to 70 (will be that age for me, I'm 40 now), introduce mandatory private health insurance and privatise the NHS, abolish human rights act, kick out any immigrant convicted of a serious crime or multiple small crimes, open up to tender the prison population to serve their sentences in foreign countries, bring back stocks, public flogging and hanging, introduce a flat tax of 20% or less for any income over £20k across the board.

Piece of p1ss, no-one's got the ***** to implement any of it. You'll find kids wanting to learn or they'll starve later in life, unskilled idiots willing to do menial jobs and criminals knowing theres some real punishment in store. Introduce some real hard personal responsibility and not a benefit state.

Mixed feelings to be honest, society has to answer for some of the failings too, we don't protest enough about things we are taken advantage of by the government. Cameron is cutting benefits and doing what we have all been asking for the last 20 years or so. But now I just see photos of him around the internet with captions underneath about who he's "fcuked over".

I am watching it now and am not really getting all "Daily Mail", the older chap who had lost his job seems relatively decent, at least he is sticking by his family and doing what he can, legal or illegal to feed them and I can identify with that, the little ******* nicking bikes and stuff are stuck for stuff to do with no consequences, it will happen, would love to see some social responsibility and pride but its a long way off.

He said he could not find anyone to employ – and the jobs he was offering where starting at 25k

Some very good friends have just sold a house in Queens Park and moved to Cambridge (pretty simple 4 bed house) -- £1.6 Million

Will the northeast get any of this wealth – not a fvcking chance
Prices are bid up in 'prosperous' areas as you say. A lot of people end up earning more but having the same living standards. I can imagine £25k not being very much at all in London. Peanuts in fact.

Not necessarily down to immigrants. I did my initial training close by many years ago and it was not in the least bit impressive then!

My view is that many of these sinkhole estates contain people who can't or won't help themselves. Because of that positive proactive action is needed, not passive. So don't just offer them options, put in place schemes that make them improve their lot. I don't think it's difficult, but too many are worried about human rights. Allowing these people to live this this forever is no human right, it's a disgrace.

Part of the problem, still, and it's quite evident given the fallout following the first part of the program, is the do-gooders blaming everything but the scumbags for the scenario.

Proper socialistic kelp, saying to boycott Channel 4 or that it's a tiny minority that are like that.

No it's fûcken not! The estate is full of wasteful scumbags on the take. It's a dump because the majority of filth that live there make it like that.

People saying its a good area to live? Yeah if you're mates with all the scum so they leave your shed or car alone.

And then some fat grotty bird said that she had 6 kids and was on benefits "oh please don't tar us with the same brush". Oh ok then, join the gym, brush your fûcken teeth, get a bastids job and stop spunking my taxes on chocolate, beer and ****.

That's why I refuse to accept a left wing political view!

I know it is a little "deep" on a thread about northern scum to bring this up, but you do the "left wing political view" a slight disservice when you simply conflate it with "benefit culture"

"the left" has traditionally been more concerned with the working class than the "non" working class ----- on both sides of the social spectrum
