Here it is finished. You can just about see the bloke that built it aka John@ braveheart racing developments.
Next to a td05
And its been ported as well. Its not rust you see, just fitting lube dried in.
Headerd have also been double ported now
Before
After
The inlet I purchased also had to be modified to fit as the turbo is a big *** turbo which was also modified to fit in a std position
In hindsight I should have went for a double catch can and rotated set up which I'm now going to go for in a couple of months.
BRD at work
In position
Its been a nightmare to fit along with the inlet so quite a bit of modifing was done so that there were no air restrictions

It took 6 hrs to work the turbo and the inlet into position but it was worth the effort. It looks very unassuming now in the std position.
Its not been mapped yet but it should hit or get very near the 500 mark once mapped. I will update soon but early tests show it is not that laggy. More responsive than my rcm400 but a lot more powerful

Only thing left now is paint the rear boot. Having owned 4 sti's now I have lost a little love so this will be going up for sale soon. Going back to a GTR come Feb.

Do you mean who did the turbo or did the turbo let go ?
Braveheart Racing Developments did the turbo.
Its still running strong. Less than 200miles on it

sorry I meant how did it go? do you have any figures? what spec is the turbo?
and I can understand wanting another gtr, my old man has one and the way it goes and keeps on going is really hard to match. Subarus that can keep up are usually laggy as hell and not very civilised to drive

On the old turbo the car made 407bhp with print out. I would be very surprised if it made anything less than 450. The wheels are billetted. Gt30 front and a TD06 rear. It gives you the heavy chest feeling when floored. Very very powerful kick to it. When in the correct gear its amazing.
I miss my old r33 gtr though
