Would love a GTR mate but still a bit pricey for me at the mo, maybe one day... Went out in pippyrips red one and that was awesome even standard!!

M3 is good mate, awesome in the nice weather, bit slow though I'll probably keep it for a few more months then get something else, test drove an E92 M3 2 weeks ago that was nice, also been looking at 911 (996) Turbo's

There's a load of pics and what i've done to the M3 here:

It Would be mate, your looking at £22k + for a decent one, I did consider one but its just the interior that puts me off in alot of them. Still an all round stunning car though!

I have also joined the GTR club after selling my M3 to an old member on here , picked it up on friday from a main dealer in Oxford , so a nice 12 month warranty for piece of mind , which is being tested tomorrow as the stereo isn't working lol , hopefully not a sign of things to come

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps27c783cf.jpg

Si , one thing I have noticed on mine is that there is a graunchy / grinding noise when pulling away , sounds like a clutch noise , does yours do this ? trying to figure out ifs its just mine or its a thing they all do , had the DCT on my M3 and that never made any noise

Cheers Ian

Hi Ian long time no speak!

Wicked news mate! Hope you enjoyed the drive back from Oxford

Mine doesn't make any noise of what your saying? It does make mechanical noises but not what you described. I would prob be inclined to give Iain a call at litchfields as they are looking after mine and have been fantastic with help when I was looking for one.

I know they do suffer with bell housing issues and most were done under warranty?

Will have to pop in and see you some time mate, looks really nice!

Si

Hi Si
Its going into Cardiff Nissan 8am in the morning , to sort the stereo and then check this noise and the bell housing , I have spoken to both Litchfields and Severn Valley about this and they say it might be the bell housing , but could be clutch related , i'll see what Nissan say in the morning and if I don't get any joy i'll take the car to Litchfield for them to diagnose , then go back to Nissan to make sure they sort it out under warranty , I paid more going to a dealer so I had a warranty so will make sure I can get as much as I can done.

I got carried away today and ordered a new exhaust from Russ Fellows
http://www.russfellowsfabrications.co.uk/r35gtr.html
Gets some really good reviews on the forum , I did buy just a Y pipe from someone on the forum yesterday , then last night thought sod it i'll have a full system lol.

Hope your as impressed as I am , they sure do fly

Cool, hope its nothing serious! If it is the Bell housing I would try and get it repaired under warranty by litchfield if possible as I think they are approved Nissan GTR specialists. They have manufactured their own bell housing which is more reliable than the factory replacement.

Like the exhaust will you be getting it mapped? You should be knocking on the door of 600!!

Absolutely love it and by far the best car I have driven, not as "chuck able" as the Type R but makes up for that in much more areas, the handling on it especially in "R" mode is unbelievable!!

Si

I have looked into the bell housing mod , this is what they do

http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/175392-be...r-process.html

That's something I can do here with my CNC machines , but will try for a brand new bell housing under warranty if its at fault , no one has mentioned to me that the Litchfield one can be fitted under warranty , I'll ask tomorrow.

600 would be nice , but if it gets mapped it will invalidate the warranty so it will have to wait

Not saying they can mate, but do check as that would be my preference.

I've gone down the litchfield warranty route which they will cover upto stage 5 under warranty if anything goes wrong, you should be able to do this next year when your 12 months is up.

Are you still in the same place?

Yes still in the same place,

If I bought a car privately I would have gone with the Litchfield warranty , it's £1200 a year which is good considering they will warrant a tuned car , if I get bored early I'll just get Litchfield to tune it and take out there warranty , I'm itching to try the launch control but told if I do then it invalidates the warranty !

I know! Black box in the car is big brother tells you how naughty you've been!

Gonna be looking to get the 2012 gearbox software soon which I've been told makes it an even better drive.

The only downside do far is cannot link the iPhone music library to the GTR stereo, need to get a EZI dab unit to sort this.

Get some more pics up!!

Just come back from Cardiff , bell housing is good on mine , they showed me while it was on the ramp , they did say that a clutch setup might stop the noise , as It was only an inspection this morning to determine what needs doing , they will do a clutch setup when it goes back in for the new stereo , they said they will down load the data , and make a sound recording which they then send off to Nissan , in the mean time i'll pop over to Litchfields for them to take a look and see what they think.

Another thing thats being changed on my car is the steering lock , there is a recall on them so yours will need doing as well , mine is being done when they fit the new stereo.

Got the Milltek Y pipe delivered today I bought second hand off a guy on the GTROC , its back up for sale if your interested in it as I have that full system being delivered tomorrow , looking for £200 which is what I paid for it , well I paid £220 delivered

Good news mate.

Got to get it booked in for steering lock to be done less than a hour job I understand.

Will give the y pipe a miss for now as will doing this and remap later down the line.
