Over 2 months is taking the P if you ask me, you should arrange with Darren to visit Dawn and see if this can sorted in person

 

I've heard nothing. Have tried messaging her again also.

Unfortunately Banny it's nothing to do with Darren, so he can't really be ensuring that she attends a meeting etc.

Realistically if he can get in contact with her on a number then it would be nice if maybe it was passed on to someone on here who can get to doing all the arranging?

But having spoken with Darren he didn't seem keen on giving out her details.

 

Crap situation all round, only mentioned Darren as his name keeps popping up but eventually someone is going to reach breaking point and go round themselves...

 

Yup really crap one, but what can you do? We literally only have an email address and a SN account to PM. If it wasn't a 4 hour drive and I knew where to go I would try to go and see her.

However to turn up at someone's home who I don't believe has deliberately tried to take the mickey would be unfair, especially given the circumstances.

I believe a guy went to see Darren and again he couldn't really help as Harvey's stuff is all in his garage which I'm presuming is at Dawn's house.

Darren just used to do all the fitting for Harvey, I don't think it went any further than that.

 

This is very unfair,if it wasnt her and it was any other seller on here,there would have been serious trouble by now.
By the sounds of it I was lucky to receive my 18G I bought from her,I know for sure if I hadn't of received it and been £600 down,courts etc would of certainly been involved a long time ago.
She needs to hold up her end of the deal just like any other person.

 

Something is not right, a well respected wife of one of scoobynets main traders going awol with deals still ongoing ..maybe shes suffering mentally
..but would of thought a close one -family or friend would of known she deals on here and knows about this problem(s) and would respond..going to her home address is not right, maybe try sending her a letter to her home adress is the right option

 

I think getting her contact details other than email address is one of the issues here.

 

To be honest pal, I think these pms and emails that have been sent to her have been seen by herself and she has chosen to ignore them, as some pms have been sent 4months ago.even if you lot have her mobile number she's not likely to answer your calls . Unfortunately its not a nice thing but the only way your going to get money or goods back is if the police get involved.to be fair you lot have given her enough time to resolve all this it doesn't take four months to send items out thats for sure.

After this length of time, it may be prudent to get a solicitor involved.

I'd be sure that Dawn wasn't out to rip anyone off, as whenever I met her, she never struck me as that sort of person. Obviously, as others have mentioned, it will have been a very traumatic time for her, the length of time being taken to resolve this issue isn't great though.

I know where Harvey/Dawn lived, assume Dawn still lives there, but, I don't actually know the address, and I certainly wouldn't post it on a website.

No mention of Harvey's name should be mentioned on this post as he would never have been in this situation.

Consumer direct, trading standards and then a small claims court (SCC are fkcu all use!)

 

I can confirm that Dawn last "Logged In" to Scoobynet on June 26th.

Just caught up with this. I went to Harv's Funeral and had a short chat with Dawn at the time. A bit later l went up there and tried to help out with sorting some things. I also bought some new stock from her that just helped to clear the garage [ a bit ] I searched for Scoobydoo's turbo whilst there and amongst many turbos, it was not obvious to Dawn or me, which one it was.

Dawn is clearly having a bad time and has inherited a right royal mess in H's garage. I knew H for many years and whilst he came here and we talked and he made notes, none of that seems to have translated into a system that Dawn or anyone can follow. He certainly had work done elsewhere and parts could be all over Tyneside that are unclaimed. [ We had a guy who left a set of discs and pads here for 3 years and then expected us to be able to locate them in an instant ] We couldn't even find them, so we had to pay back.

But a company situation is different to harassing Dawn. Harvey Performance is a company, Dawn may or may not be a director or officer of the company. If she is not part of Harvey Performance in a legal company sense. then I do not think it appropriate to chase her. She is a solicitor in her own right and will know where she stands.

I suspect that she is doing her best at a tough time of life to help, but ultimately if she is only connected to Harvey Performance as the wife of the owner or director, I do not expect that she is liable to have to do anything, beyond reasonable help.

Legal options/ actions will need to be directed to the auditors or liquidators of Harvey Performance. Not Dawn. To publish her details on an open public forum is not wise and may break several data protection laws.

At the end guys, sadly, you might have to put this down to one of those things that cannot be resolved and move on. I know there will be indignation, but H was one of the most straightforward and honest guys on earth and there is certainly no intention to deceive. I know both parties too well to know that deception is the most unlikely of circumstances.

If Dawn has done all she can reasonably do, that is probably going to be the end of it.

Dawn is not trading on here as Harvey Performance - she makes that clear in the opening post and even confirms that I banned Harveys Trade account.
As far as I am concerned, she is a private member selling parts privately. As you will see from my post on post 2, she also specifically asked me NOT to set her up a TRADE account.

My issue is only with the people who have bought parts from "Dawn" after Harveys death and his account being banned because she E-mailed me and asked if she could sell on some parts to clear out her garage and I said yes, which I now really regret.

Anyone who bought parts from a company which is now dissolved have their own unique set of problems that have nothing to do with Scoobynet.

 

Im sure that Dawn has sold parts on here since Harvey's passing that have not been delivered but the money has been taken, which I'm sure is the main concern and which Dawn is responsible as she both advertised them on here and took payment for them?

 

Apologies wrong end of the stick. I thought this was to do with previous items that Harv had been dealing with prior to his death.

If it relates to more current things then I suspect that Dawn is swamped with something that requires her attention.

She is not the sort to avoid any responsibility. She'll be back no doubt.

As a small non-update update.

I sent a letter to Dawn requesting her to get in touch. The letter was apparently delivered and signed for.

I have heard nothing back.

Time to move on I guess...

David, I agree.

I don't believe for a second that Dawn is doing this out of malice, spite or anything like that. Something must be wrong.

However, for now, the best thing I can do is just forget about it and hope that at some point in the future I hear back from her.

I hope she is ok.

 

Any updates here?i haven't received any contact from dawn regarding this matter,wondering if she wrote back to scoobydoo69 or anyone else for that matter?

No, she has not made any contact with me yet.

 

I would be taking this to small claims court or getting a court action of some sort taken against her, regardless of hardships in her life etc, she should not have listed and taken money for items if she was not in a position to honour the contract.

I wish some people would man up and just get on with getting their money back. I find a court letter arriving helps focus peoples mind somewhat

 

I brought a gt30 r wast gate twisted kit and headers all brand new £1500 payed on the Monday received on the Thursday all good this was done in the beginning so maybe I was lucky I had good communication with dawn at the time of sale can only say good things really but I think if I had lost my money I would have been posted to say the least something must have gone badly wrong as I feel a wife of a very respected man such as Harvey can't be all bad . .? Maybe your right a court letter my be a good way to shake thing up a bit

 

It's quite sad to know a very well known and valued member on here's name was used to sell parts and quite frankly a few people(again very well known tuners/specialists) still have contact with dawn and still stand by her saying she wouldn't intend to rip anyone off!
Tbh I'm not bothered the fact she has took £50 but it's the trust we put in her knowing she was Harvey's wife and IMO she should have gave the same service as Harvey would have done!

 

But by accepting it you are making it "ok". She has got away with it with no recourse.

which in my eyes is just disgusting, it doesnt matter how much it is for, theft is theft. and you should be doing everything you can to get it back, it is obvious she has no intention of sending said item etc, so get a court action against her, when 3+ court actions land on her door step it will definitely make her do something about it!

Jeez,its no wonder people get ripped off so easily these days, as the con artists know that no one will do anything about it!

I am in the process of taking someone to court 52 separate times at the minute. I could have done it all one one court procedure, but 52 times means they wont get credit or any form of job from here to the ****ing Armageddon. Doesnt matter how much money it is for, it is the principle, of you try to rob me and I will get what i am owed and more because they tried it on...
