It's being broken by Mark James and Robert Crossland.

Based near Stockport. They are on Facebook and car will more than likely be advertised on there

So ive found a replacement for the Scooby and put a deposit down,

I decided that after all the hassle of my scoob that I wanted something with warranty but was smart enough to go out in but also a load of fun.

On Friday I went to the local Merc dealer and bough a

2012 C63 AMG Coupe
28k from new
full merc history

comes with 2 year extended Merc warranty and got a great deal on it..

picking it up this Saturday hopefully cant wait.

Very nice!

No problem if you'd rather not say, but what was the great deal? £29k?

What was your impression on the test drive? I assume the power delivery was very different to the Scoob!?

Yeah paid just over 29k for it. It's a 125 edition aswell so good price! Plus the 2 year free warranty with merc is worth 3k.

Also merc are doing
All wheels referbed
Any tyres under 5mm Replaced (praying all 4 are )
Front and rear bumper resprayed by merc.. couple of tiny scuff on there..
If brakes are over 70% worn they are being replaced.

Test drive wise it's the sound of it soon as it goes in Sport + mode it's unreal.. but a proper jeckel and Hyde car.. on way back lifted off a bit and was really nice place to be.. power delivery completely different to Scooby.. just grunt all the way through.

Yeah, buying from a main dealer definitely has its advantages.

Sounds like you got a good deal. And that warranty could save you some serious misery... although the FL C63 is meant to be pretty bullet proof.

Get some pics up after collection.

Yep reading up they seem pretty good to be fair..

When it comes to brakes etc will buy them off merc and change myself.. will be getting serviced at merc to keep the history up. Bit of a expense but if I was buying one like most people would want full dealer history.

Bring on Saturday

Will you keep it standard? Apparently the engine in the C63 is detuned compared to the same 6.2L lump found in some other AMGs. Software such as Eurocharged V6 will push it up to 520-530 bhp. Not bad gains, 50-60 extra bhp for just over £500. And you download it yourself. Might void the warranty though!

Pictures man! Lovely cars. I've always said I'd move on from Subaru to a C63. Just lovely cars.

You'll be getting through those rear tyres pretty quick I'd imagine!

Will get some pictures up when I get it at the weekend ..

I have always said that if I was to move on from Subaru there was only 2 cars I could choose..

1. Nissan GTR - but way out of my budget for a low mileage one I would be looking for.

2. The C63 - just a all round car for me... after driving it on Friday it just gives you a great feeling..

the E92 M3 was a option.. awesome car to drive and yes better handling than the C63 but something missing that the C63 gives you..
Also looked at Porsche 911 again they hold their value very well and not got that special feeling..

Tyres wise ohhh yeah expecting at least 2 sets of rears a year ...
Not to bad though Black circles £129 a tyre Toyo TR1 tyres so will stick well.

TC off and it has a RS racing start .. so will be burning some rubber..

Just hoping the weather will clear up for the weekend so I can get a coat of wax on it and enjoy the sound of that V8 with the windows down!

Cheers Ryan

I agree. Don't expect mods to be cheap!

Are you going to do anything to the exhaust to release more of that lovely v8 noise?
