This isn't working so I will spell it out. We are a multicultural nation with a mixed race going back 1000s of years. There is no British look unless you mean the pale, fat football yob one displayed by so many Brits abroad.

Blimey, someone is angry today.
"When we came here" implying that perhaps we aren't actually FROM here?
I'm not insulting the British but when I go abroad I do my utmost to avoid hordes of Brits all wearing the same faux designer tat, often in football shirts, tattooed to the eyeballs, usually sporting a heavy "gold" necklace and generally showing us Brits up in the worst way possible.
We are a melting pot nation; if someone "looks a bit funny" in your eyes and therefore isn't "properly" British then may I suggest you look up the word "racist" in the dictionary.
How about this chap:
Born and brought up in the UK, has done vast amounts for the nation and is a Lord. Should he be deported?

This isn't about race or religion you asked me what a British person looked like. You said there was no British look.
I said there was white, which is the truth. but you can't think of a valid counter argument against that can you? if you can't handle the truth then don't ask the question.
Don't call me a racist you pleb, why the **** do you even feel the need to use that word apart from cause trouble and make an issue out of something you yourself created.
******* drama queen, pi$$ off.

So then, post me a picture of a British person? It appears you think they must be white. Go on, show me a proper, true Brit (in your eyes) because to me, Paul Boeteng, myself and all sorts of different looking people are equally British.
As for making trouble, is that your actual response to some reasonable questions? My word, I suggest you don't apply to do Law.
What you're bleating on about is that Brits are white and nothing else. Now what was that word beginning with "R" again...?

What I'm bleating on about is the answer to your question, Whether you like it or agree with it we as a race of UK people are predominately white, and if you have a problem with that then your the only racist here.

He may be British.
But he is certainly not English, Welsh, Scottish or Irish.
Being British is totally meaningless nowadays. It usually means 'not white'.
If I am required to indicate my nationality I will always say or write English because it still means something.
That aside, in the first instance this man should be returned here and then appropriate action should be taken if required, as claiming to be British but looking like a happy beardy Arab terrorist is not just cause to kick someone out without corroborating evidence.

What does it matter what he looks like, such remarks about his appearance are shameful.
If the authorities are unable to prove in a properly constituted court that he has done something unlawful than he should never be held against his will. They are breaking the laws of human rights.
One has to get the impression that he is being held because the authorities are terrified of complicity in obtaining evidence by the use of torture. If that is true then they are doubly at fault for holding him a prisoner to avoid investigations into their behaviour towards prisoners. If that is not true then let the authorities prove their innocence. If they are guilty then they should face up to their misdemeanors and realease him immediately so that he can return to his family, with an appropriate sum of cash to make up for his mistreatment.
If the situation is as described then I feel ashamed for the behaviour of the authorities concerned.

St George, that utmost English of Englishmen, is widely thought to be Turkish or Greek.
St Andrew probably never even knew Scotland existed, being from Bethsaida, Israel.
A disciple of someone called 'Jesus'
St Patrick wasn't even Irish - He was born in Roman Britain and captured by Irish raiders who took him as a slave to Ireland.
St David was the only one to be born in his country.
Not particularly relevant to the thread, but what is 'British'
Seems like being a Welshy is......

Give him a shave, a pair of jeans and a jumper and it would be a different story. But his appearance is his choice and the way others then perceive him is his problem.
That however doesn't actually make him guilty of anything, so innocent until proven guilty still applies.
And all these public trials of the intelligence services are a bloody nuisance. They need to operate with a level of impunity to do their job properly, exercising a level of quid pro quo with other agencies to get the job done or just plain get on. It happens in politics at the highest level all the time, and there is plenty of internal and inter-agency politics in the intelligence services.
I personally have no interest in being blown up, getting radiation poisoning or being injured in any other way because the intelligence services are hamstrung by public scrutiny or a need to consider someone's human rights when they should be pulling a few nails. I don't need to know about it and I'm not going to lose any sleep over it either.
