i just think it`s a freshen up of v -power, its already the best stuff and most turbo owners know this, probably trying to attract a few more customers. if it does clean the engine a bit better no complaints from me.

i have tried some of the diesel ,didnt notice anything from the regular diesel tbh

A thought and a statement of fact.

When I was filling my work van up with V-Power diesel, I was getting an extra 20-30 miles to a tank, and they were all hard miles.

Back to Shell's new offering. My local Shell, 2.5 miles away, has had it for quite some time now, it's easy to tell by the sickly sweet smell of it.

Whilst using it, my car would misfire at idle, it was fine on the previous incarnation of V-Power.

Swapped to Tesco 99 and no more misfiring, just either a 15 or 25 mile round trip for fuel.

Agree. My car stopped boosting all together with new nitro and mpg dived by 6 mpg. I've since tried Tesco fuel and its all back to normal! I'll try again soon to re test this but I think it's too much of a coincidence.

Thats not good. If its happening to more than the odd car Im sure it would become public knowledge quite quickly.

I'll try that on my next top-up.
I'm getting 23 on Nitro+ so it will be interesting.

I also carry NF Racing Formula (just in case I'm low with no Shell station) so I might also compare Tesco 99+NF.

Mine has been filled from the same place Micky. I've filled up twice there and 3 times at Redheugh bridge. Don't notice any difference other than it seems to be popping and banging more over the last couple of weeks since I've had a couple of fills.

Filled up last week at 137.9 at Redheugh though, cheapest I've ever out Vpower in since I've had this car. I'm still getting the same 220 miles to a tank full though.

Just filled up with V Power Nitro + @ £137.9 in Bentley Doncaster. See if it makes any difference.

I was just gonna start a new thread asking if people were getting any advers effects from the new stuff. Many people (including me) on m3cutters are experiencing cold start problems since using the new VPower....not good.

You can't be, this new nitro is made with magical ingredients that give you more power, lower fuel consumption and make your engine invincible !!!!!!

I have noticed no difference at all. Not surprising as it appears i have been using it all year according to my shell driver club rewards points statement.

Funny you should say that. I did a long distance drive on Friday doing the exact same journey as I have done each month. It involves around 2 hours town driving and 3 hours motorway driving. The best I have achieved is 39.5mpg by myself with AC off, with 37mpg being more typical.

This time I had my wife and 2 kids and the AC was on. This was the result with the Nitro plus.

39 even 40mpg !!!!!!!

No wonder my cashflow's so depressed.

Unfortunately I've never driven mine with anything other than Nitro+.
However, someone has mentioned Tesco Momentum as an alternative.

I'm tempted to give it a go, just in case I get a bit far from a Shell station.
Momentum + a decent splash or two of NF racing formula.
I'll be topping up in the next couple of days, so we'll see.

(Momentum is 99 RON isn't it?)

Well bitches, 348 miles on 45 litres, that's a whopping 34.5mpg. All done today between London and Exeter on Tesco 95 in a Classic!

I'm now slightly deaf, and my **** is numb, other than though I'm over the moon with those figures.

348 miles - did you take the circuitous route then ?
Tesco 95 - is that our equivalent of Route 66 ?

Seriously though, my Cat used to do about that between my home and the Lake District, 245 miles, all but 10 were dual carriageway or motorway, and travelled at quiet times, so a nice little toodle at 75 almost all the way.

Just goes to show I suppose.

Anyway, SURELY someone gets lower than my 23mpg ?
Please someone make me less depressed.

I'll see what Momentum does.
Unfortunately my mileage is such that it'll be a week or more before the next refill.

60 litre tank as well ?
Ouch !

TBH it's only because I a) don't commute anymore; and b) don't expect to do that many miles per year (probably 8K at most) that a guzzler is practical.

Oh, and as the wife puts it, I'm in the pub every night.
(Lies - every Friday it's the local Indian).

23 mpg, you must drive like an old woman I get on average 17-18mpg. Mid 20's on a long run.

No - at the wrong time of day.
The roads are always full of cars driven by little old ladies.

Oh - and they are being resurfaced at the moment.
A nice little sideline, scavenge all the loose chippings left over.
There must be TONS of the stuff spraying like one of Al Capone's machine guns.
