[QUOTE=ade_sti;11034354]Chunkb......Nice pics mate. Really like the colour of the wheels. Getting mine done in a couple of weeks. May I ask what is the colour and where did you have them done? Is it paint or powder coat?
Thanks Ade
Hi Ade, The wheels were done by the wheel specialist in Burton-upon-trent,but there are other wheel specialists around as they are a franchise, just check your yellow pages, the colour is smoked chrome, they powder coat them black and then dust the face of the wheel in silver to give a look of dark anthracite.
A bit of advice when getting your wheels powder coated, mask off the back face of the wheel so you have a good contact when bolting up the wheel and it avoids the wheel sticking to the hub.
Hope this explains things ok.
Thanks Ade

A couple more things regarding the WR1,they come with slightly lower suspension,a nice alloy gear **** with the WR1 logo on it and the alloy tax disc with the WR1 logo and Number of the car on it.
The wheels are 18"x 8". And power is 316bhp standard,we did a rolling road day in the 2004 in Norwich and a lot of WR1s turned up and the average power on the day was 313bhp.
Have fun looking.

Well...I feel for the OP because there been some thing's said which won't help him/her make the right choice.
If your choosing only between a WR1 over a MY05 STi Type UK PPP then I would choose the 05 STi PPP over the WR1.The WR1 was a 04 STi Type UK,Sprayed Ice blue, some sticker's and the more power over the normal STi's for sale(265 non PPP or 305 PPP)and was the first UK spec car to have DCCD.
The 05 STi Type UK PPP as the better interior,Spec C chassis, wider track,PCD 114.3 and DCCD.Some will talk about the extra power a WR1 makes, well you can make a 05 STi Type UK PPP make the same power with just a remap and because of the change in the chassis/wider track will handling better than a WR1.
Tony n Co are right,The JDM spec car is a better car and the car I'd buy if I had my time again but Tony is trying to make it sound that the UK spec is a bad car which it isn't.
So my advice is to drive a WR1,05 STi UK and a JDM spec and see which one you like and can afford because a WR1 and JDM will cost a little more to buy.

I'm amazed that Iain made around 100 of the Blob Type 20s Tony. I don't know where I got the idea there were only 10 or so, but can you say where the figure of 100 came from please?
Mine was the last one I've seen for sale, and that was back in late 2011. They certainly seem to be very scarce these days.
