Apparently, it's been the coldest March since 1962.

Supposed to be cold as hell [<<< an oxymoron if ever there was one ] over Easter.

After posting that it occurred to me that he was from Buckley, not Mold.
Would be about 45 now, went to college in the Lake District as a mature (in name only) student back in '91. Hooked up with a girl there and always called her 'cake'. Had a brother John (I think) and a mate covered in tattoos they called 'Skin'.

I know a few Buckley lads too, and we're all about that age, so I may have come across him.

I believe it is actually the case now that the first half half of the year isn't worth bothering with, unless you're a masochist or can't get away from the place

Looks like a lot of rain coming through mid week, remind you of something...

Only this year's start of summer has 5 degree written over it as well.

The jetstream which forms at the polar front has moved south which means we are in colder air and in a less stable airmass.

The movement of the polar front just happens for reasons best known to itself!

Yesterday I had very heavy rain, gale force winds and hail.
Today all that is gone and it is sunny

Don't worry about it. If we close down some more coal fuelled power stations, put up some windmills and of course, increase road tax, we'll be able to control the weather for the whole world from the UK. Simples.

I just surfed; last two have been in a Summer suit (fairly thin but flexible) and been tolerable but I absolutely froze! Usually fine this time of year; definitely colder than usual.

It was 7 degrees with sleet here in Derbyshire yesterday.

I'm getting sick of the people who keep saying ''its not unusual to get snow in May''... maybe a brief cold snap for a day or two in May isn't unusual, but it basically hasn't warmed up since January now!

I really do think we're looking at a significant and long term shift in the weather patterns over the UK, we've now had 3 years of bitterly cold winters and non-existent summers, it all seems to be connected to this southerly shift in jet stream.

Maybe the current sh1te weather is an unholy alliance between climate scientist, the EU, with a tiny smattering of radical Islam

All backed by bankers, and powered by BP
