Hi Duncan!<Waves>

Never seen anything like that in my life. It's like Siberia here! Mold's rural outskirts are worse snowed under where I am. Hope for it to go next week. Cats are well bored inside the house.
Hope all's well with you and other SN peeps stuck in snow like us lot here in North Wales.

I'm pretty sure (well I'm not 100% sure lol) that we had some kind of heat wave up here this time last year with temps well into the 20's?

I think you'd need a bit more than that - best revise your budget again.
Oh, and I hope you've got storage space for the summer tyres you take off too

You are correct about the heat wave - many places had heat.
Not this freezing crap we have now.
Plus its supposed to continue into early next week (where I live anyway)

Ah the sinking Monday feeling when I see a post from the head of Scoobynet's Bigot Society and realise that sadly he hasn't died over the weekend.

Cold but dry here; ideal driving conditions!

Surfed loads over the weekend; yesterday was really cold. Took hours to properly warm up!!!

I live in Mold, not 10 ft of snow here! It's probably the worst I have seen since '79, possibly worse, but still. All the main roads and a large portion of minor roads were cleared by Sat afternoon.

I reckon about 20 inches of snow fell, obviously some drifts against walls may have reached nearly 10 ft.

So much for my golf this weekend

See, what annoys me is the FORECAST again.

The forecasters have been forecasting a break, and milder weather for two weeks. they STARTED off saying it would be from the 21st, now it's disappeared AGAIN, having come back, supposedly from the 29th, last week.

The truth is, they are guessing.

...worse still, they are playing with computers worth hundreds of millions of pounds (and being fed by data from sensors and satellites worth billions of pounds) - yet they are still guessing!!!

p.s. And also dictating the "back to the stone age" energy policy that (British only) gubmints are following to the letter

My eldest also pointed out that their computers and sensors put more CO2 into the air than a hundred cars....

Yup here's conformation, what a difference a year makes.

and todays temps of 3-4 degrees on the East coast is misleading, this is the warmest it's been for god knows how long..

Snowing here on and off all day, temperatures not showing above 3 degrees all day

Not enough to settle though, so that's one good thing.

Weather this morning saying no sign of an end to this.

No Spring, then.

Here, the daffodils started to show about four weeks ago, but none have flowered yet except the mini ones.

Spring has arrived for this weekend up here anyway, quite a nice day out side car was giving me 6 degrees just now and it's even sunny too! I'll settle for this anyday over what we've been having...
