winter tyres are class when all the muppets all around you aren't using them, and would ordinarilly struggle to drive a car in a straight line at over 30 mph on a dry stretch of tarmac. You'll be stuck in the 5mph queue just like the rest of us.

No, you just drive around them in my experience while laughing at them

Not when there is no where to go - unless you can magically invent your own lane of course

Winter tyres can do that for mortals, you can drive anywhere with them! It's the same as the driving gods on summer tyres.

Hmm, if the driving gods can go anywhere in the snow on the summer tyres - "just like normal" -then how come they get stuck?

I'll have to go away and think really hard about that one...

If i could somehow arrange for all the summer tyre users to have use of a car with winter tyres just for a week, i'd honestly make it happen. Just TRY and understand that yes we know that summer tyres can sort of cope most of the time. But on that one occasion where it's a bit slippier than you expected, when the car in front stops a bit quicker than you thought, you WILL end up in a worse place than if you had winter tyres.

I just don't get what part of that is so difficult to understand that it makes people post smugly that they're compromising not just their but everyone around them's safety. Just don't get why you'd want to gloat for being an uninformed idiot.

Never had a problem in the snow on normal tyres, depends where you are in the country of course, hills, amount of snowfall etc

It seemed to snow alot in telford when I lived there but never enough to get stuck in, now I'm back on the coast I doubt I'll see enough snow worth mentioning again (thank f*ck).

You said you never had a problem in the snow on normal tyres which means you think you can drive on snow in normal tyres... see Tel's post for reference as to what you are

Yes I never have, so perhaps the snow I've driven in isn't as deep / bad as to where people who feel it necessary to buy snow tyres is????

F*ck me is that hard to grasp

Are you foreign? It's like I'm trying to explain something to a tourist

The snow I have been in obviously wasn't deep enough to spank a few hundred quid on new tyres. Are you trying to say you don't know the difference between a light dusting and a full blown blizzard?

At no point did I say I could drive better on snow with my normal tyres than with snow tyres, If I lived in the hills or somewhere else where you get heavy snow it might be worth the outlay then.

P.S I know you're only trying to wind me up nit picking because no one can be that f*cking stupid foreign or not

PS Yes I am winding you up, but to be honest you are a complete f**king muppet so you deserve it! Are you urban in disguise?

Winter tyres are not snow tyres, winter tyres and snow tyres are two different things, just to clear that up as you seem a bit confuzzled.

Exactly, to be fair in a way they could be worse. You'll just get the ar*eholes who think they can smash around because of the tyres they've got on, a bit of fear isn't always a bad thing.
