Weather
Also bored with the bad weather.
Winter seems to have lasted forever this year, and i'm not normally bothered by the cold. I think the absence of any freak mild spell has just made it feel interminable

The position of the country where it is in relation to the Atlantic and the vagaries of the weather systems as demonstrated by the movement of the Jetstream are likely to generate the changeable weather that we undergo.
I even remember a very heavy snowstorm south west of London well into May one year.
I do remember however how boring the weather used to be just east of the Rockies when it went for weeks without a drop of rain, we were fed up with it!

Same here.
Add to that, the promised mild weather seems to be getting further and further into the future.
It WAS 21st March, yesterday it had moved out to 26th March, today it's gone out to 28th March....

Its actually spring and this is standard early spring weather, you can have similar in late autumn also, not climate change, just the standard climate, worry if we have a heat wave in the middle of winter or snow in the middle of summer
We were about three hours North of Heksinki (by super high speed train, with wifi all the way!). Loads of trees!

Very bizarre weather.
The local breakfast weather news said this morning that from this evening and until early next week will be very cold, probably snow and strong bitterly cold winds.
Whoopy ******* do.

Weather,eh.
It's kind of what you expect this latitude, and proximity to the ocean ? !!
If you want to be seriously delighted with a bit of 'weather' spend some time in the tropics.?

Why is this such a feckin surprise folks ...?
It is totally normal to get snow well into the year like this. We live on a friggin island and it is mighty hard to predict what is going to develop from all around us.
I remember as a young kid having my birthday party in the snow, treasure hunts etc (birthday is not for another couple of weeks yet). Also remember not being able to roll our Easter eggs as there was too much snow...
Nothing unusual about the weather...OK?

Urban, there is no way to get used to this freezing weather! Glad that you liked it here but in my opinion this is not the place where I want to live.. If I may ask where did you had that meeting?
Unfortunately finns are alcoholic nation.. And matteeboy it really is kind of nice that it doesn't get dark at all between june and july but it makes people to have insomnia and to balance all that lightness in summer time, Winter is totally dark and especially this winter between december and february we only had 18 hours of daylight and that is just crazy! Now that sun is shining it really hurts my eyes

Not getting dark was a very weird, but I guess that's when the alcohol helps

I don't think I'd want to live there to be fair, too cold for a start.
Nice for a wee visit

I really don't know what all the moaning is about. It's cold.... deal with it. It's snowing every now and then... so what? The alternative at this time of year is mild and p1ssing down. I'll take the cold crisp days with occasional snow thanks.
PS Of course all the naysayers about winter tyres are looking even more like f**king muppets too so that's another plus point

Going down the shops tonight I'd have to admit it did have that 'summery' feel to it. ( last summer ) like it could last to mid July. - I bloody hope not.
You kind of have to feel for the greater midlands folk, it ain't like they'll have hills to toboggan down either
