Some COCK has put a paving slap through my window!!!
utter wankers, i dont know if you are on the local beds and bucks scoobies forum but a guy in there had his boot keyed then the next few days he had his bonnet done.
the side panel on the dash is a simple clip on panel and pretty cheap, the rear window is going to be a pain in the *** though

Really gutted for you man ...
really what type of c*nt does this?
The panel in your first interior pic is indeed a "seperate" piece and fairly cheap. I have replaced mine when i changed out the whole interior for new pieces and bought myself a new one at the dealership. I'll see if i can hook u up with a part nr. I still have my old one with a minor blemish but i guess shipping it to you will probably cost alot compared to the cost of a new one at the dealership.
I'm amazed at how the ******* managed to miss the rear spoiler ... probably standing really close to the rear end.
EDIT:
For the 06-07 (and late 05's) this panel is stated as lower trim-> "center console 66086FE000OE" (47$)
Mine also had these 2 metal clips where the screws go in to secure it to the metal frame. I just swapped over my old ones.
A stock gearknob should be fairly easy to geld hold off (i wouldn't buy a new one but search the used market instead) i have no info on that ring beneath it though. Probably not sold seperatly.
The whole top of the dash on the other hand is probably going to run you £££

From: If you're not braking or accelerating you're wasting time.
I would have called the police.May be CCTV in the area & wouldn't touch anything & check for fingerprints on the sign.Probably a local **** head known to the police.
shows the mental state of certain people out there, i had someone throw a diamond cutting disk out there window while driving, they really meant it! went across my lovely shiny clean bonnet, like the rambo knife 6 months before it. pathetic job shy idiots, yep prob drink related, idle hands do the work of the devil.
Looks as if it's come through the rear screen with some force, or it's unlikely it would ACTUALLY penetrate.
Then it's probably hit the rear seat and bounced.
Whoever chucked it meant it, that's for certain.
I would let your insurance know, there is damage to interior panels, the gear lever, the lift-up reverse etc etc. Could cost you £hundreds to put it right
ALSO: and this is important, you need to contact the local council and tell them about it, mention that what has been chucked through the screen is a fire hydrant marker post and the marker. It's QUITE important it gets replaced asap.
IF you can show it's been broken some time, they may be liable for some part of the repair costs.

I tought this kind of crap happend only in Finland
Every one of my cars have experienced vandalism in here
I wish that the lowlife who did this will get beaten with Iron pipe ( works like charm)
You should go to your local hardware store (maybe home depot etc) and get some plastic sheet to protect your interior from weather. Plastic sheet that I'm talking about is used in renovated houses and constructions to protect floors and furnitures. I'm not sure if you call it plastic sheet in UK but I wish that you understand what I mean.

cling film across the back window all of it then a tarpalin cover that should do it. if not a neibour who may lend you the use of there garage for the night. *** heads whats wrong with people bloody scum they are
Im now considering getting one of those CCTV sets form ebay for like £150 and setting that up....im finding myself becoming increasing paranoid about it now. Ive had the car almost 2 years and this is the first time anything like this has happened, just hope its not a repeat offender/offenders.
Weather proofed the window now and vacuumed the glass up...there was glass everywhere even on the front dash!!...

still cant get my head around how the object ended up in the front passenger foot well.
Regarding the glass, is it a good idea to try and get it tinted before replacing it?. As i have gone through my insurance now, i doubt im going to be able ask them just to drop the glass of and then wait for me to get it tinted and then for them to come back and fit it?.
im going to have to get the insurance involved for the window, as im not forking out almost a grand to get it replaced thats not even including the cost of tinting. I have my no claims protected anyway, and the guy i spoke to said it usually doesnt effect your no claims if its just a single bit of glass. I wont bother telling them about interior damage as by the sound of it it should be too expensive

tinting is best done when window is in, they cut the film to the window and i would think you risk scratching it when fitting the window.
tinting the rear should be about a hundred quid if not less.
i paid £130 to have my rear and back doors glass tinted on my blob sti

Just a tip for lessening the scratch on the dash under the air bag.
Get a semi hard piece of plastic, i use the handle of a stanley terminal screwdriver, and gently rub the scratch, it will start to fade and blend in with the rest of the dash, it won't completely disappear, but it won't jump out at you either.

Ah thats easier then, cheers.
Im wondering if i should go to citizens advise and see where i stand on this, as it the work men had made sure the area was clear from debris/rubble then this wouldnt have happen, im looking at the area now where the post was originally and there bits of concert kerb that the work men haven't cleared still there!!

other than the slight scratch on the dashboard that chips away or the like may be able to sort, the rest is just bolt on parts, the side panel on the dash clips in and the damaged bit under the gearknob is part on the gear stick gator so is easy to swap out.

what ****** they really are! probably ran off laughing thinking it was well funny, its a shame no one saw who it was and you could go round to see if there still laughing the *******.
it is odd how it ended up in the frount, its hard enough to get it through the window let alone enough force to go through and into the frount aswell.. and miss the spoiler.
gutted for you pal.

Im guessing that they must of stood right close to the rear of the car and had the slab in both hands and raised it above their head and just launched it down through the window and bounce of the rear seat and went through the front seats where it hit the center console. Guess i was lucky it didnt end up going through the front window as well.
If you had glass on the dash mate and you haven't already get the Hoover into the air vents best you can. Then run the blowers on full but make sure you are not sat in the car looking at them. Bits of glass get everywhere and the last thing you want is to stick it on while driving and get fragments of glass fired at your face.

Have just had the police around to inspect the concert post and they have found blood samples on the sharp edge of the metal placard, so have taken it away to do more test and brush for finger prints. Hopefully this **** is known by the police!!!
