Rich how long ago did this happen?
It was removed a year ago & I stuck with it for 6 months before I decided it had to go even if it left me out of pocket. Alan Jeffrys post was from 2011 so there have been problems fairly recently but I think the pre 2010 clutches had a far worse reputation.

£200 labour, and I believe the clutch kit cost me £329.99 (was only for a limited time from Scoobyworld I think) - I see it's £345 now .
Plus £280 for the flywheel.

Fair enough, if you kept it that long and still couldn't live with it sounds awful.
So what exactly did you go for in the end instead and how much was that?

AP racing clutch from RCM, cost about £100 more but it drives so much better, not too heavy & no judder atall. It's had some stick over the last year running 440 BHP now & it still drives perfect.

LOL due to travel cost I would get a local specialist to fit it rather than go all the way to RCM Chris.
As I've not really had issues with my Exedy I can't comment but if you want alternatives AP or Helix are supposed to be decent.
Where are you based?

70 miles?
You know RCM's in Hinckley right? If I google map Andover A303 to their postcode it says 115 miles on the shortest route available mate!
Mind you, I'd say defo best in the business from all the reports you hear - their reputation precedes them!

Colin @ Ignition Motorsport is near you in Newbury Chris.
Surrey Subaru Specialists are in Camberley.

Dan and John at SSS are good blokes and will look after you.
