I own an STi 8 with 32.000 on the clock so I know for a fact the engine will hold just over 400bhp with no issues all this talk of engines going bang is just a waste of time..

Tommy maybe you should go find someone else to wind up because that's all your good at you sad man

its not a wind up, im genuinely interested into your way of thinking money wise.

and i think you will need more than 3k to get a blob to over 400bhp properly.

you must be mad as you obviously cant afford to do it.

save up and buy them, you will get far more satisfaction that way. i have done it over the past 3 or 4 years on my car.
Never a truer sentence said, the only time I have borowed money in the pass is when my cash flow was streched and did not have the patience to wait to have my own money to buy what I needed,it's a Slippery slope mate.the best thing is to save up and get what you need when you can afford it that's what I'm doing and have been doing for the last couple of years for my car and my wife's Subaru.try not to live outside of your means as know one knows what's just around the corner.SJ.

So why the need for 3k? You only need a new turbo and a tweak on the map....plus you will get a few quid back for the 20g..

If and its a big if the engi e gives up I am more than capable of rebuilding it and it won't kill me too much drivi g the wife's focus st while its off the road lol

It's making 390 BHP and its holding out nice. The engine is sweet as a nut so I don't think an extra 40-50 BHP will do much damage. I'm out the country 8-9 months of the year so it don't get used much anyway so its all good

And this place just gets better.

First of all I read a thread asking why a rear silencer is called a silencer becuase it doesnt silence anything and now im reading about a chap who not only already owes 15K, but has booked his car in for mapping when he hasn't even bought the mods. Plus, he wants to get the mods on finance because guess what, he hasn't got any money.

I mean come on, are these people for real !!!!

I booked my car in with Andy back in December then in January I got called out to do a job in Afghanistan so buying parts was the last thing on my mind. I had the money in the bank to pay for these parts but when I was away the wife's focus developed a problem that needed to be rectified ASAP so she used the money for the Scooby. I do t see why I have to justify my actions to you mere mortgage paying numpties but I guess that's just the way of Scoobynet..

Also Matty if you could actually add up you would realise that I actually owe 12 grand not 15.. That 12 grand I have spent enjoying life and traveling the world while you muppets are scrimping and saving to pay your mortgage that I don't have
