Thats me bent over in front of dave in the public toilets.
I agree but its all about the cornering. The track i go to has no long straights so perfect for the mx5. I
have a jackson supercharger kit but its goin on the mev
possibly but id imagine you talking thousands to do this properly.
id does look well sorted but is the roll cage really necessary as it looks hideous and must add a lot of weight.
A DIY build can be done on the cheap, ie a tdo4 from a impreza etc, just need to pay for a ecu setting up and mapping, alternatively for a brand new kit fitted looking at 2-3k
Can kind of agree with you there, the roll cage can be disconnected at the front so only has the rear, need to find out what meterial it's made from and weight, if not happy I may just fit a tr lane or the likes fitted
Plenty of stuff for me to tinker with.
Just need to find a dd with towing capabilities.
I think it was 5 in total that didn't make it home, one of those was a mates Type R with a bottom end failure...Incidently, if I remember rightly it was organized by Mazda on Track.
If i was you i would deffo keep the roll cage. Safety first. In terms of a little extra weight i would not worry about it i barely notice it when i take a passenger with me
Also tyres, suspension and set up right will reduce the threat of killing it in a corner
I would probably change the tyres as they are like t1rs apart from that it's set up well
