When I bought the kit it came with a very nicely made cylinder take yo replace the larger plastic one, you can mount it pretty much anywhere you want within reason, when I fitted the inter cooler I didn't even know what it was for until the end and it became clear it replaced to old one, ill try and post done pics of it fitter to my car or if your on whatsapp ill send them to you now

Yeh i fitted it, I had to remove both headlights, front bumper, grill and slam panel, the slam panel got replaced with the braket that came with the kit then had to mark up and trim the bumper to allow the pipes to fit that took a few hours to get it right then put it all back together simples really

I've seen no change, I've also got a forge recirc valve so that keeps the system charged. I've also added a larger turbo, sti inlet manifold, pink injectors, walbro fuel pump, RCM headers, 3 inch zorst decat, filter and remap so all in all not much lag at all

Cool, I was looking at running a Sc36 from scoobyclinic which I guess is a Td05 16g.
Dont want to push the Wrx engine too much, should be ok with 330-350.

Sounds good, def not worth pushing the wrx too hard coz it'll just due horribly, but my turbo is rated to produce around 330-350 hp but if it goes a little higher I'm not going to stop it lol

Haha!

350bhp is a good road car I think.
How do the VF23 turbos differ from the TD05 16g, as they are rated at the same output aren't they!?

I believe they are very similar apart from the vf23 spools a little quicker, tbh your not going to notice any difference, it does make a nice whining noise when spooling up which is very nice :-D

Is there really a £1000 difference in an Ebay FMIC compared to a Perrin in terms of performance.

I fancy a FMIC for my Blob which is running about 380 and can't afford or justify 1300 for a Perrin etc.

Who's got one of the Ebay coolers running over 400bhp?

im running 450/400 with a japspeed one i did originaly want a harvey one
but it seems great no issues

i asked a few people (mapper/mechanic/suppliers)about the difference between perrin and the cheaper alternatives but for my power they advised the japspeed would be well capable

I thought the bottle on the rad had to be replaced to allow for the FMIC pipe to fit beside it. Guess it doesn't then - Only so i know what to get in a kit!

Got it from here,

https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...1-bug-wrx.html

Didn't just make it up ;-)

Should you remap if you change from a top mount to front mount?

If you look at the battery in this picture you will notice the new alloy expansion bottle which replaces the larger plastic one as its too big to fit both the pipe work and bottle in the same place so smaller one is def needed.
