Eddited , just pipes , core was sprayed already, not for my liking but theres no way back .... SSR's are staying Jon, not sure about these , only got them as Peter is selling his Blob and it was silly not to snap them for that price...

I know a few of the fins on mine have taken a battering from a loose stone, but I'm planning to paint one anyway so I may as well prep one that's been done before if you're interested

Change of plan , change of plan....i'm staying on a top mount for now... The car is not running right thought, so will have to check that AGAIN which is doing my head in.... when its raining it pulls well, when hot day it hesitates gains propper power aftef 5k rpm..... i dont think its smtn to do with the "big" turbo on a 2 ltr rather than map itself... After todays chat with some of the best ive got my eyes opened abit wider now.... FMIC will be up for sale with freshly satin black powdercoated pipes...
Was deciding regards the headers to gain the spool. will get oem one properly ported and ceramic coated... Fitting the injectors tomorrow.. that will be a hell of a job as the turbo is in a way of 2 bolts which hold the injector top bracket, will probably have to take the whole lot off again.... roll on monday...

Rich ported my headers, I know it's a messy job but not too difficult if you understand the process.
I'd be interested in how much you end up paying to get the headers coated - mine are in need of a re-wrap and might get done come turbo swap time including relocating the front O2 to the downpipe as that is better for ALS apparently - not that I want to make pointless noise on tunnel runs

if it helps my OEM headers are harvey smith ported mated to a harvey smith 2 bolt up-pipe. both were bought to increase mid-range and increase spool on a standard vf35 and I can say that there has been an improvement in both areas since having these mods fitted (with map) almost a year ago.

Very nice, completely agree with you about 17's - gonna keep my white 18s for show and I'm after some 8 or 8.5 x 17 for hooning around on, preferably BBS style

Looking of other improvements i could do , i was scratching my head on the air feed to the filter mod, as ive got this fancy grille with a little gap straight into the air duct/pipe on the current setup i was very doubtful that is enough.. So ive bought 1 meter of neoprene air duct hose and the trumpet cone fitting....
Not a difficult job , but was lack of some tools so will have to see Ricky for some adjustments...
It should definitely help to feed a bit more air... Another thing i'll make is a heat shield for the filter, have seen a couple and its a good fun to do one... Also the wing tray where the hose comes out to the filter , Frayz has his own engineering one , but its a bit costly to me...

I do but their slightly lighter color...never mind ...
As the nature of my work has changed and i'm doing night shifts , i have an opportunity to do some decent reading, and i have discovered some good ol' threads regards mapping OS vs EcuTek some handling modding etc., also i met some interesting people , tuners, enthusiasts who opened my eyes on things how they should be done...Not only buying mods what i think is right then fitting/tweaking the car.... I've been told few things regards oil and marketing and what is what basically which will save me a bit . As i understand a lot of things is hyped up to get attention, and actual normal mechanical work hyped up into "tuning magic"..... I'll keep my reading and chose what and how to do in the different way from now on... NASIOC and US tuning industry ...is a fekin million years in front of UK , all i can say
