Anything else I need to think about?

Mainly because the Scoob ain't getting any younger, it will see 15 next September and I want to treat it more like a classic now than a daily runabout.

Is there a guide to laying cars up, anywhere? Things like letting the fuel tank empty down to bare minimum, how often to charge battery, looking after tyres and brakes, keeping the interior free of mould etc etc.
I tried this once, one car for work (rack up the miles) one for "best".

1.Yes you can switch the insurance, but there is often a hefty admin fee.
2. Things started to go wrong with the car "sat up". alarm played up, battery died, etc.
3. My favourite cd was "always in the other car"..............grrr.
4. Swapping them around in the drive became a pain

Now back to one car. Basically cars are comsumable items. Comsume them, then buy another.

Yeah, I get that, but Classics are becoming just that.

It's getting close to impossible to get hold of an unmolested one, should mine go to the big scrapyard in the sky, or at least, to get one that's been modded kindly......

hence, not wanting to put too many miles on mine in poor weather.

And then there's the fuel consumption........

I suppose it MIGHT make a difference, but the oil pressure comes up so quickly, what would be the point?
