As the weather seemed to be holding out and my hangover had resided I decided to fit my new battery tray
The plan was to fit 4 rivnuts into the boot floor and screw in the nice stainless alloy head bolts - but the new rivnut tool I bought was **** and broke when I tried to fit the first one
By now the weather had changed and it was p!ssing down but I wasn't giving up so change of plan; I drilled my 4 holes and although the boot floor is quite thin I managed to tap all of the holes with enough of a thread for the bolts to nip up, but as a double measure I got under the car in the pissing rain
and added some stainless flange bolts.
Anyway, here it is

34 with pinks, FMIC, ported headers and a TSL 3" exhaust, TGV delete and a 'kin huge induction kit - I'll be happy with 330+, although I doubt it'll get dynoed as I want a good driveable car, figures are a nice guide but it's useability that's important to me
I'll drag some off my HD when I get home tonight and stick them up - there's bound to be some around but it depends upon how much house-keeping I've done on my PB account

Where can those mirrors be had from if you don't mind me asking mate?
Been searching like crazy on how the 34 spools but still unsure. Mine will be on a tmic with pinks, decat, tgv deletes with ported headers n up pipe

Will wait and see hopefully not too laggy for a road car

With those mods the 34 should still spool quite well, apparently it's a good balance for the standard block and shouldn't over-stress the WRX internals although the gearbox may be on the edge, PPG here I come

I know API do a really good price on WRX ones, £600 exchange iirc, you could give them a try...

Forgot about the bonnet vent, just waiting for a quote from Ryan for painting it
Rear splitter will be exactly like Jura's, I've asked Carben Creations to quote me for making one

Some progress at last, but still not as quick as I would like, numb fingers don't help...
Out with the old

And in with the new

Fitting the Eclipse hose kit, but they needed a little trimming to suit the thicker rad...

All done

Next up, waiting on a quote for some painting, and then some powder coating to sort out too

Thoughts please peeps, I've got an alloy rad and FMIC, I was going to powder coat the pipework satin black to contrast with the red hoses I have, but I'm now thinking about leaving some bling under the bonnet.
I'm also after an clean and tidy alternator, ideally not polished but not full of salt corrosion like mine
