Well mines a year old this week, gone in for her 12 month service.5700 miles. This will be her 3rd oil and filter.Engine loosening up nicely now.Exhaust note has improved nicely as the miles have gone on,very happy with her.Its also nice not to have to worry re all these other non forged premature engine failures.Going to take out the 2 year warranty extension all the same tho. If I have a complaint its the paints softness,so far both wings and the bonnet have needed respraying, other than that shes been great.....much much easier on the wallet than my previous car thank ****.Average mpg over 5000 miles is 22mpg .99 ron only.

If so wondering how much?
Also with the extension is the 36k caveat still in place?

I think the warranty ext is around 8/900 quid for 2 years.Unsure about the mileage, some have had the 60,000 instated.I am not concerned as I wont do much mileage.

Has anyone on here had their front suspension replaced under warranty ?
Mines in at the moment (well its now been a month) and still waiting for the replacement parts to show.
The dealer has told me that six kits are now on back order seems like they have a common problem , or the dealer is fobbing me off ?????

Then I put it in... and waited and waited - car away for 6 weeks!... and eventually the parts arrived and it all got sorted. Despite the wait, my trusted dealer did a great valet job and my car was back to showroom condition, so I'll continue to recommend them - and I wholly blame Subaru UK for the delay.
If you have a CS400 and you haven't got the knocking yet... I'd be pushing for a replacement if you can be bothered before your warranty runs out.
In my opinion there should have been a recall - but what do you expect from any customer service department in any industry these days.

Tell me aboot it, I noticed some knocking after about 3500 miles - especially notciable at slow speed or on reversing on full lock. Got it in for first service and they confirmed there was a known issue and that it needed a front suspension replacement.

Fitted KW V3's yesterday to mine. This has transformed the car!! When I brought it I knew it handled badly but knew this was something that could be fixed. This handled like nothing I'd had before, I've had a std 08sti which I later fitted v3s too, I've had 11 sti which I then fitted the pro r springs to but the cs handled nothing like either if these.
I'd tried bushes and various geo settings even the mighty Litchfield could fettle the std suspension set up!!
So I fitted the V3s, what a difference it's transformed the car. It's more comfortable more stable and now goes found corners as it should. I can not recommend this mod enough and will happily take anyone out in it to show them. I had mine fitted at Crossroads Subaru and they did a great job at a good price too.

Mine doesn't seem to have a problem going round corners, all I really thought the car lacked was a little stiffness.
Edit - definitely don't agree that this car handles badly, I think they got it very good tbh.
Main gripe I have is with UK slow rack numb steering, quite noticable seeing as I recently came from a Clio Cup and 911... buf I'm working on trying to fix that too with a quick rack and command module.

We will have to agree to disagree then
I thought the standard suspension set up was pants. It was not like any other Subaru I have had. A certain pro r man who has now left said it was a nightmare, Iain Litchfield agreed with me it wouldn't hold a line and constinantly needed adjusting in the turns which was what I was trying to get rid of.
Maybe one of these days we should organise a CS meet up and we could compare.
