What's your New Years Eve plans then?
Not doing anything here on NYE apart from maybe watch it on TV and get a nice Chinese in (seeing as they're guaranteed to be open
).
Now NYD night... Sir is off raving to a proper vinyl only night in Manchester. Train at 4pm, pick up ticket in Manc and pre drinks, then 7-4 I shall listen to the finest trance records ever made on the greatest medium ever to grace clubland
I can't fooking wait!! Proper line up too

Skiing for most of the day in France with the family
before getting in the car and driving 650 miles home overnight with a bucket of red bull / Go Plus/ Dexedrine
. Good job I put snow tyres on as we've had around 3 feet of snow over the last ten days and it has cheered me immensely to see the BMW's buried in snow banks around here.
Jools's Hootenanny recorded, which is our usual NYE, so will recreate NYE on NYD if I stay awake

I'm staying in with the cats while others go on a p!ssed up, freezing, maddening nightout. Some mentally mature friends are coming around in the evening. The bargain is that they bring the fireworks and some drinks, and I provide my pad, foods and extra drinks. I still want no drunken dramas here in my house, so I shall kick them all out by 1am sharpish. That will do. Happy New Year.

I have a son and Mrs but couldn't turn this down. Taking a couple promo CD's too to hand out to promoters round that way.
Thrillseekers, Les Hemstock and Tilt are the headliners
All over and done with here, good BBQ last night and good poker game till early hours ...
Off to the beach at Raglan after breakfast for a New Year's Day surf. 79 degrees today
Happy new year all

I remember fireworks going off at 5.30pm,having a drink calling my ex up at 00.13 (we still keep in touch
) for her to bite my head off,i'm fooking sick in bed,and i'm here while everybody else is out partying, and now you call and you're out drinking and i got this fooking temperature,my response,oh ok so it was a bad time to call, happy new year btw, hangs up ooops
Everything is normal then..
This will be my first NYE alone since my wife deserted us, my youngest son will be 18 on NYE, I'll need to be home to pilot him past obstacles like front door, stairs and bedroom door.
My other sons now live away and will be doing their own thing.
I am looking forward to seeing the fireworks from my 'penthouse'.

I hope you had a decent celebration in the end and if you were looking at the London fireworks,I thought they were outstanding.

Our local (In north Cheshire) fireworks were practically non existant, hardly a pop nor a bang. The local council didn't do a display because of the cutbacks.
I did watch the London fireworks on TV, they were amazingly well choreographed and nothing short of spectacular..
I had a couple of cans of Guinness accompanied by a Glenmorangie (or two), my son was not late nor pi55ed, he had a heavy cold and a bad headache but accepted a large scotch as a 'cure' and was in bed by 1 o'clock.
So, just a quit night in.
