All is looking very nice Si.

I had a H&S on my old type R, As you know I've tried out a few exhaust over the years and have to say I was very pleased with the H&S one. So much better made than the miltek pile of rubbish. Talk about poor quality stainless and welded by blind chimps

Cheers Danny hopefully you will see it first hand soon I had not realised that's what you had on the R there.

When I think of it for anyone that has Facebook could you give the garage doing my build a like, the page is new and only been running for a couple of weeks so they are just finding their feet with it.

Ace Performance Cars.

Couple of quick pictures from today....

When the car has been moped by Craig from the paint shop I'll be able to fit the Rally Armour flaps on which will change the look a lot plus save the fresh paint on the side skirts areas.

Never wanted an early classic so much. This and G7PRS classic really tug at the heart strings.

I just hope my snagging list will come together quickly as I don't want it to hold me back to much at this stage of the game, it's just unfortunate you can't plan for it in advance

I picked this H&S back box up as a temp measure but like everything else it needs cleaning up.... It's a few years old so there's only so much I can do with it over than a quick go over.

After an hour I'm part way into the first pass over on it, my arms are burning !!

Just a stop gap Jon to get me going plus it will be good to see what volume this is and if I get on with it I will have an option then to pick a new one up in the spring.

Good grief don't put anymore pressure on me Paul

I'm getting close to Rally Day and to be honest I could do with another couple of weeks it's going to be tight very tight indeed, there's still the snagging list to be sourced and I'm hopeful that is in hand. Also I'm waiting for an OEM screen seal which is due any time then we can get the new front screen dropped in.

On a positive all the fluids have been changed and I believe Rhys fired it up earlier, I'll confirm that tomorrow. The only other thing is Rhys has got the next two weeks off so with my parts gathering as well I may hit a lean period but we shall see.

Where's the sheep smiley when you need one

Cheers Frayz happy days matey !
Nothing is stopping Rhys going on holiday Kev !

Just spoke with Rhys all is looking good, no oil or coolant leaks, primed the engine a little before start up and it fired up no problems with no warning lights showing which is really good news, just left it on tick over for now as I need the snagging items to get things right first.

I think I'm chasing shadows a little with the screen seal, looking at it now I don't really know what I've ordered other than it was £18 so I think I can get on with getting a new screen dropped in as I believe it's just bonded in with the trim parts clipped on top.

Managed to get this finished tonight, not like new that's for sure but it's good enough to pass muster in the short term I'm really interested to hear what this sounds like.
