ive not bought one yet im just keeping my options open,i have seen td05 turbos for half the price of the vf series

ive got injectors/tgv deletes/fuel pump/3 port so just need a turbo and up-pipe now but no rush so doing a bit of research on different turbos before i make my mind up-it really all comes down to price/condition as all the turbos im looking at give near enough the same results

would like it before the end of january really but as said no rush

cheers

Did you say you had an sti engine??
As this should already have vf35,pinks and also wont have tgv either.
Also do the avcs heads work as the wrx didnt have these so not sure if the ecu would operate them.

its only the sti bottom end matey, basically the car threw its bottom end @ 58k back in 2008/9 and was sent to powerstation who fitted a brand new sti short block with cosworth oil pump and uprated head gaskets @ a cost of around £4k to the wrx heads,i have all the paperwork to prove this and i have spoken to powerstation about this to confirm it all,the engine is now on 95k so still a low mileage bottom end

the spec at the min is

sti bottom end

sti top mount (need the undertray as its running the smaller wrx undertray)

sti larger bonnet scoop

miltek de-cat 3" downpipe

3" de-cat center section

3" system with japspeed 3" bore backbox

cosworth panel filter

hks ssqv

std td04 turbo

ecutek map running 265bhp

i have waiting to fit

650cc injectors

255 LPH fuel pump

tgv deletes

3 port boost solenoid

all i need is a turbo/de-cat up-pipe/and maybe if i can find a cheap enough one is a front mount and sell my top mount

Ahhh that explains it.
Personally id still go for a vf35 though as the rest of the mods look good.

TD05's offer stonking value IMO. For the price, they're hard to beat, and the kick in the back is amusing

yeah thats spot on

although much neater if u can lol

totaly rebuildable and upgradeable as and whenever u like , they are journal bearing and are laggy but tbh will take a fair whack of boost with an uprated thrust bearing and plate

vf35 = £280 plus
tdo5 16g = £50-80 + £100 for it machined to fit

Doubt there's a top entry 20g cover available, but you can use a 90 degree silicone hose to achieve the required shape. Oh and you'd also need a hose joiner of course.

the conversion i can have done either way from front to top or vice versa

silicone hose is a bad idea as it can collapse under vacuum
