Sad news even though we all knew it was coming. Condolences to friends and family.
I'm filling up, but at the same time smiling because Connor got such, such a special day just for him that no-one will forget.

I would just like to pass my condolences on to Connor and his family. What happened on that lovely warm September day, showed that when it comes to it, the car community which recieves a lot of negative press, came together and show our support for one brave little boy, whom most had never met. I'm proud to say I was there to help and to contribute towards making one of his dreams a possibility, but the real credit should go towards the family who all worked together and put differences aside to ensure he had the best day possible. I will never forget the look on his face when I walked past him. His cheeky little smile as wide as the Grand Canyon and eyes were lit up. That day his family did proud, the car community did themselves proud, and right now he is in a much better place than we are looking down on us all. I've been dreading this thread for months, especially as last month I lost my own Dad to cancer, he was 49. When you put the two tragedies side by side, there is no comparison. To lose someone like I did at 49 was awful, but a sweet young child is another thing. It's early days yet, but I think something should be done in memory of Connor each year, and we use this platform to remember a brave little lad who had a passion for something most of us take for granted each day.
As you can probably tell, this story has effected me, especially with what has gone on in my own life over the past 4 months, and I can remember telling my dad about Connor and he said that I must go and show support for him. It meant giving up a day to spend with my dad, who didnt have long left but I'm so glad that I did, and I know that right now my dad will be taking care and looking out for Connor in heaven
