Yes I am.
I thought you might be from your user name but I wasnt sure from your comments about being saddened that people dont think that their Gods are the same as I have never really heard from a Christian who thinks that the Islamic god is the same as the Christian God. I know that many Muslims like to think that their Gods are the same though.

I maybe slightly different to others you know.
I embrace all religions - as God places his strong arms around us all no matter what colour, creed or beliefs.
Even those who don't believe, he loves them too.

Yes, but the bible was written in the Middle East 2000 plus years ago and they still havent sorted their **** out have they so I wouldnt take that particular book as "Gospel", most others get revised or a new edition, that one doesnt.
I really dont give a toss about religion but they preach all this stuff about harmony but 50 percent of the population cant do a job in that organisation due to being female, some jobs women cant really do (or more likely, dont want to as it is smelly, heavy, dangerous or dirty) but physical strength isnt an issue, men and women dont differ markedly in intelligence so where is your perceived shortfall that precludes women being Bishops ?

The bible does make reference to female prophets, Miriam, Deborah, Anna and Isaiah's wife. There is references to deaconesses (although I dont have any names), Priscilla assisted the Apostle Paul in founding a church, but female leadership was rejected by the mainstream churches of those times.

I don't believe you can tamper with the Bible, you either accept it as is, or ignore it completely you can not add to it, or redact parts from it.

"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.", Poverbs 20:1
And yet Jesus' first miracle? He turns water into wine at a wedding party that's been going for some time and run out of booze.
Or God's instruction to Moses on slaughtering the defeated Midianite people: "... But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.", Numbers 31:18.
Murder, rape and paedophilia but the Bible teaches God is love.
The Church has always had to redact and tamper with Biblical teaching so the 'we're just following the teachings of scripture' argument just doesn't wash.

No need to tamper with the Bible. It's perfectly capable of making a mockery of its own teaching, e.g:
"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.", Poverbs 20:1

Why so rude? Nowhere else on Scoobynet do I have to put up with these comments when I have a different opinion. I really don't believe that you genuinely think that those verses are valid points and in their complete contexts.

It is my opinion that I should oppose the spread of lies, fear and medieval superstitions (of any of its flavours, strands and brands) wherever I encounter them. Even here on Scoobynet.
I'd be happy to hear your corrections to my invalid points "in their complete context".

Damn! Gotta rewrite all the rules of physics.

You can't have a logical debate will someone who tells you that you just have to believe because with belief anything is possible, however far-fetched.

People can believe what they want, my 6 year old twins genuinely believe in the tooth fairy and santa clause - which is brilliant/sweet/etc in equal measure
But Christianity's central teaching tells us that you can only get to the kingdom of heaven on the back of Jesus Christ, ful stop, there is no other way
Being good, kind, respectful, loving is sadly not enough
I, who spend my life trying to give my wife and children a life full of wonder and love will sadly go to hell
Fred West who slaughtered his way thru life, raping and butchering even his children, will be accepted in to the kingdom of heaven, all it requires is for him to accept Jesus into his life just before he dies
It is the ultimate cop out
