BO II is more GPU reliant than previous versions and believe me, the game looks better with a higher internal resolution..... as do all games. Granted, it doesn't make for more graphic whizz as in effects, but it certainly makes the game look alot cleaner and so much sharper.

Resolution is certainly one of the areas that require more grunt, certainly over 1080 resolutions. 360 and PS3 gfx effects are not that bad but the area that lets them down imo, is that of internal resolution. I would be happy with the next gen of consoles to have the same kind of effects, but with the ability to have internal resolutions on all games of at least 1080p. It will make games look that much better.

Nice result mate, they really are great cards! Now get it unbder water and shut the noisy damn thing up! LOL

This is the last one I ran before I got bored with this build back about 6 months ago on driver version 11.12. Allegedly it will be significantly faster now, but who knows?

Do NOT... go on this site, it will addict you and cost you your life for 3 months.

I didn't notice you were in No.4 spot in the UK Overclockers tables.

Try the latest drivers!

I can't mate, the addiction has ended.
I am doing really daft things with it now, like actually using it and enjoying games, stuff like that.
No more BSOD's and repetitively watching superPi, 3dm11 and heaven v3.0. Lol

Here are my results, my GFX card is a GTX570 using the 310.54 beta drivers, although there wasn't a great deal of difference compared to 306.97.

No overclocking on the CPU or GPU and running just standard air cooling for both.

I am thinking about getting a second GTX570 and running them in SLi mode just to see how much difference it makes.

I think you're on about the Tessellation?

To be honest back in the day I was one of those who had to have the best setup but these days I'm just happy as long as it'll allow me to play my games collection.

I did my benchmark just to see how my PC would cope, my days of chasing numbers have long since gone.

No Tessellation and the other killer being you don't have 4xAA enabled. That will bash the back doors out of that benchmark figure I'm afraid.

This is a proper hardware test...
Just caught Mandy filming me playing Black Ops 2, so for those of you who havent seen Eyefinity, here it is in 5760x1200 over 3x 24" monitors.

http://youtu.be/gvRBXMsq3mo?hd=1

(Note the LACK of any lag, and almost 200FPS refresh rate from the graphics cards... and I am STILL ****. LOL)

Stu,
You've spent all that cash and you have an odd monitor! You loser!

Looks impressive.

Is the 3 monitor set-up for an FPS game confusing, as you don't actually increase the field of view do you?

Actually all 3 monitors are slightly different Dell 24"ers and I am not shelling out for new ones until i can afford 3x 30" 120HZ versions as my 200FPS capability is kind of wasted at the moment in some ways.

Yes, field of view is increased in many games mate, that really is teh whole point, otherwise it would just all be stretched and horrible.

Great example here:
