I only met up with Harvey one time at his place in Darlington but its an experience I will never forget. The guy is a true subaru community legend a pioneer of the high powered ej20 engines. He gave me so much information without trying to take my money from me. That is a rare trait nowadays he was one of a kind. My thoughts are with you Dawn. I hope the Subaru community are going to arrange some kind of event in his honour.

Tragic news. I did a little business with Harvey and respected both his knowledge and approach. Although we've not previously spoken my thoughts are with you, Dawn.
Take care,
James.

Amen to that. Anything to keep his memory alive.
I still can't quite get my head around that he's no longer with us (in body at least).
I absolutely loved it when opening a subscribed thread and seeing one of his measured and detailed, tech-filled, posts. It was always illuminating for me.
His posts were... ARE... stuff of SN legend.

Hi everyone.
This has been emotional reading for me and, as I am sure Harvey would have been, I am truly grateful to all of you.
Harvey's funeral is at Darlington Crematorium on Friday 16th November at 1:15pm. This is allowing time for all of his family to be able to attend.
May I take this opportunity to tell you all that Harvey would be proud if he could read his thread so thanks to all of you.
Remember to hug the ones you love.
Dawn.

After nearly 25 years in the motor trade i've never come across anyone even close to the professionalism that Harvey practised, nothing was ever too much trouble and advise was freely given. I was fortunate enough to test a few items supplied by him and even when on holiday he responded to emails regarding the results.
I've said it before (many times) but theres a few suppliers on here that would do well to learn a LOT from the way Harvey conducted his business.
R.I.P Harvey & Dawn i'm so sorry for your loss.

never met him in person, spoke to him a few times on the phone and via email.
never actually bought any of his products.
but he was always forthcoming with information and advice when asked, any of his posts on here would show the same, full of details, info and enthusiasm you don't get from some people.
sorry that he isn't with us anymore...

Very very sad news. I have had the pleasure of enjoying a number of conversations with him in the last few months and I always respected his "no bull" views, coupled with absolute professionalism, and a genuine desire to help and assist. He will be much missed, and my thoughts are with you Dawn.
