I already read alot on scoobynet, but this thread has eventualy persuate me to register me.
Absolutely amazing! Big compliment, your Dyno Room is absolut perfekt!!! and has the latest state of the art technology!
I'm actually planing our own dyno room, because we get a Dynapack in a few weeks. Thank you for sharing your dyno built, there are many great ideas that I can also use on our Dyno room. No worries my workshop is in Switzerland, so don't will be a similary dyno cell in Uk
To all other scoobynet im new here and i'm glad to get into good discusions here.

**Minor Update**
Finally got the camera system properly sorted and now offer full 1920x1080P full HD videos with sound from front right, rear right and power screen on a 1GB re-usable USB pen for £10 if the owner so wishes.
The videos also include the power graph being drawn live as per the following video.

I still havent got round to sorting a proper TMIC solution for hard use. Power runs are no bother but for hard mapping I still need to get a real solution in place.

**Minor Update**
The cell is getting better by the week as I get more and more tuning connectivity sorted. This week I have finally got the knock detection sorted in the cell now so that I can graph 2 channels of knock levels electronically on the main cell screens while mapping and the headphones also stay off until the noise levels reach a pre determined limit at which point the headphone amp switches on and blasts my ears with a warning. Very handy.

Also Have 9 full spectrum lighting tubes arriving on Monday so the lighting in the cell should be far better, and will also finalise the installation of the PC Oscilloscope to help with diagnosing weird faults... Love the PC scope, far better than our old £3000 bench scope - amazing how things have moved on!

During a discussion on dyno figure repeatability, I created some images to illustrate how repeatable a good dyno cell can be, so I thought they would make a nice addition to this topic too, so here we go... (Discussion is from another forum I use - but you will pick up what we are talking about no bother)
Hi Rob,
The best way I could illustrate this is with a few graphs of very different cars, some small, some large, some turbo some nasp, so Ive uploaded a selection to show you.
(All power is at the wheels)
VW Golf GTi
Audi Rs4 (With inlet runner blockage)
Ford Mustang GT
Porsche Boxter
Ferrari Mondial T
BMW Compact with M3 Evo Transplant
Nissan Juke TurboDiesel
Fiesta ST180 (Datalogging for development of new ecu calibration so had quite a few runs)
Escort Rs Cosworth
Fiesta ST150
A dyno with poor repeatability isnt even usefull as a tuning tool. We MUST know for sure that measured power gains are real, especially with nasp tuning when we are chasing single figures here and there.
The biggest problem people have with dyno repeatability is a poor cell... to make a dyno work properly the cell and air management investment will usually at least equal the dyno investment.Without constant low temperature airflow and the ambient cell pressure the same as outside in the car park - the figures are going to be all over the place.
Then there is poor strapping and riduculous placement of air temp probes etc. I could go on... (And I am happy to if anyones interested in such details, but for now I will shut up before you nod off.)

Nice looking cell there chap. These things are the devil to keep clean, as you're no doubt finding out! It's the combination of road dirt on the car undersides, crap off the tyres, wet cars, oil and water leaks etc..
Our dyno has done over 70,000 runs so far, so I'm forgiving it the odd streaky bit..

Indeed. What ive done to help is go to the local garden center and buy some long thin potting trays and put 4 under each axle. You cant see them from outside but they catch 95% of the blood and guts that spill out from time to time and save a lot of time mopping up.
Mines a mere baby compared to yours at a tad over 7000 power runs... but I have to admit its been 100% reliable to date.

Good evening stu, Im another passion ford member who has succumb to the subaru badge..
Im after getting my 06 wrx hawkeye remapped soon and as i feel i know your company through fast ford tech guides and being in the ford scene id rather trust my scoob with you on the rolling road..
I have a few questions though,
1. Are you able to delete the secondary air valve system of the ecu so i dont get any fault codes and so it is completely removed and safe for the ecu to run the car without it rather than have the EML "masked" so it just doesnt illuminate?
2. Have you come up with a solution to do Power runs/ hard tuning with a TMIC?
