Yes that pad is what is used in the powerstation kit , but is machined as its too wide to fit properly.

The kit calipers that 2 pot is using are the smaller ones which will fit under the standard 98 onwards 16" wheels , the GT3 will never fit under the 16" wheels.

It is the left hand pad we are using on this kit , and running a 310mm x 28mm disc and bell , i'll put some pics up when we are finished in a couple of days

Would it be possible to make a bell & disc that doesn't require the pad to be cut on the powerstation kit?

It's a bit inconvenient to have to cut the pads (plus I've heard they can crack as a result).

 

I've always been more into drag racing. But recently, I've been wondering about some track days. Hence the porsche monoblocs, orangestuff pads and some s/h cr311's. I think the next thing is some tuition!

 

if its machined correctly i fal to see how they can "crack".............

I'm not sure either, that's just what I've heard.

 

Never heard of any cracking issues due to being cut.

We are on the home straight now all the machining has been done and the kit fits both sets of wheels , if you had just used the gunmetal coloured wheels we could have run a larger disc , but to fit these brakes under the standard 98 onwards 16" wheels we have had to take the disc down to 300mm , could have run a 310mm disc with the other wheels you have.











The calipers were only primed until we knew if we had to remove metal from them , so will bead blast them again and prime and spray them , and get them built up , get the bells off for anodising in the morning , so should be all ready to pick up wednesday or thursday

The front hubs are machined out to take the larger bearings , we also bead blasted them and sprayed them black for you , just need to press the larger bearings in for you

I'll give you a ring when its all ready to collect

Glad you enjoyed a less mundane conversion.
Take your point on the disc size for 16" RB5 look-a-like wheel. But, if I smash one, I don't think I'd ever get a replacement. So, for road use, I'd be back to my oem 5 spokes.
I've got some 17" rays, that don't clear subaru brembos, be interesting to see if they now clear, without spacers, on the front - they're 7.5" x 17" et48.
Also be interesting to try out the larger front bearings, to see if they last longer with cr311's.
