Little update, had a nice drive up to Pauls on saturday and dropped off the inlet manifold and sump for cleaning and fitting. Was suprised at how much dust was inside the manifold after powder coating despite the manifold being well taped up.

So we're on the home run with the engine now, so hopefully not too much longer until I can start to gather the other parts required

Couple of new pics

Was really great to see it up close and I came away feeling very excited about moving on with the build

Indeed I cant Martin, but I must be patient and do it right.

Thats what I tell myself for not having a spare 10k kicking around right now to get it all done at once

Not much been going on recently in the way of exciting updates, I've cleaned it, polished and waxed it using my favourite method of cleaning it on a sunday, putting it in the garage and then polishing and waxing half the car on a monday night, then shifting the car to the other side and doing the other half the next night lol

I did buy (off here) a little treat for the engine bay though, a nice perrin slam panel should look good when the engine bay is all done and help to direct the airflow throught the radiator and front mount

Speedline turinis will be coming off this weekend and winter wheels going on, I will be getting some new tyres and using my track wheels over the winter, want to keep my sexy turini's nice!

Have been doing a lot of thinking about the order in which I am going to be adding the parts to the car, my initial thought was to put everything in at once all, engine/6 speed/turbo/fuel system etc etc, but this is the most expensive way and will also take a long time.

So now I am inclined to put the engine and gearbox in first, and do the first 1500 miles on my existing turbo and injectors. This way I estimate I will be able to get the engine in around March time, then purchase the turbo, rotated kit and additional fuel system bits whilst I'm doing the running in. This way also has the benefit of being able to check that different parts are working rather than adding everything all at once.

Still got a long way to and a list of parts needed as long as my arm, but I am beginning to be able to see it all coming together which is really great and motivating

Got my track wheels wrapped in some new rubber so I dont ruin my speedline turinis over the winter.

From this (with my assistant mechanic);

To this;
