Brave little girl and I wish her all the best but surely Pakistan has hospitals that could have treated her, after all, most of the doctors were probably trained here anyway.

An amazing person. She is the embodiment of good. Her sheer will, strength and bravery shows that there is an antidote to the horror we see in this world.

We need education.
The kids follow what the so called elders tell them. Malala has shown that education and questioning opens other ways, those that don't lead into some feudal dark ages system.

Nothing against her per se, I'm fairly indifferent to her, she certainly doesn't say anything interesting or especially insightful, just bien pensant feel good platitudes.

She's for better or worse a symbol of what is possible if education is available isn't she , that's about it
Her peers back home find it inspiring, and presumably taliban / isis hate the western message
