I noticed a lot of wheel spin on Scoobs running more than 400 horses, how would substantially longer 1-3rd ratios effect times?

TOTB is still held at Elvington.

Plenty stuff still goes on, mainly bikes I think, but it's not as much as in the past due to complaints by local residents about noise.

Wheel on, (Yes I am well aware it is the wrong wheel it was just on top of the pile lol.)

With the arch extension on just for an idea of coverage

Looks like the arch extensions will cover them perfectly as they will sit back in another 5mm when I cut the existing wheel studs down.

I will loose alot of the front bumper, splitter and wing by the door though as on 1/3rd lock they are catching the bumper etc!

Alot of work to do it seems, does anyone have a template for the abw arches? as they seem like a ****e fit to be honest

Yes mate wheels are 5x114.3 my hubs are 5x100

It might come down to getting the hubs converted if I can't get them to fit

Thanks SJ.

Its gonna look pretty awesome. I'm quite pleased the arches are going to cover them. Although it is a little concerning the amount of the bumper etc I am going to loose lol

Hub conversion shouldn't cost you much mate. Your right tho about the fit of the arche, they don't look the best. Almost not to the same shape as the original arch. How are you planning to fix them to the bodywork. Rivnut and bolt maybe a good option, that way they removable.

Riv nuts were always the plan for these, but to be honest the fit is shocking.... I thought it would simply be get a centre line on your arch and the extension, measure your height up and mount the arches so you can then mark round the inside where you need to cut your arch.

But they are so far out I don't think that will work!

You are comparing apples and oranges there mate so I wouldn't nessecarily blame your car.

My car either goes flat out or no boost at all, if I am launching in 1st I will hammer it and use the launch control. So it will launch at 1.5bar. I don't have lag

If I'm not driving it fast it really will never see boost. On the road I drive off boost 99℅ of the time so its not something I can offer advice on

I mean without launching, just flooring it occasionally from a rolling start whilst pottering around.

Never tried it mate, cant just floor it as it will try and kill you lol. And there aren't really any long enough bits of road to try it here!

Less load in first gear hence harder to build boost compared to other gears, suprised you dont know basic stuff like this
