There was a fella from over here in Belfast and he was a well know house breaker and joyrider untill the boys with the wooly faces got him and not only nailed him to a fence with 4 " word they bent them over on the other side needless to say the papers made a sad story from it, but still think he got off lightly

I was just going to comment, that I expect incidents that involve the highly worthwhile 'travelling community' may well turn out differently in Norn Iron, because the ***** know that if they kick off, that men with wooly faces might turn up with Armalites.

Nail him to a fence - that's about as much as I get.

Then bend the nails over making them harder to remove.

OK

But did they nail him to a fence with nails, or nail him to a fence with another bit of wood?

I wanna know how you found it. You said it had been stashed in a barn miles from your house, it's not as if you'd just stumble across it.

indeed it is great news.

it was parked in what i guess was a barn.. one of those things with no walls, just a roof, if you know what i mean?
a mate of mine lives in hutton and spotted it from the a126 (think that's the one - goes from a127 through brentwood?) while he was driving form one delivery drop to another. he'd seen my post on my facebook page that it had gone missing and gave me a bell.

simple as that really. massively lucky, obviously. as people have said - the odds against it are staggering, but i guess someone wins the lottery most weeks, so it has to happen sometime. (woudl rather have had a lottery win, but i guess that's life! )

once he'd finished his morning drops he picked up a couple of people and went back to keep an eye on it while i made my way down there.

no sign of anyone else about, and tempting as it was to hang around, i'd rather not chance getting a beating (or worse!) so i just got in and took it back to the proper side of the water!

How many miles away was it? How long had it gone missing for?

Told them we'd found it and my mate gave them the location but to be honest, they didn't seem overly interested.
