Anyway, I'm going to miss ol' Abu; he's become a bit of a national treasure, an icon almost. Hopefully the prospect of solitary confinement for the remainder of his Earthly days will be less daunting given the knowledge that Brother Richard Reid has already been enjoying the same fate. And it's Allah's will, of course; Perhaps he'll be merciful and end prematurely the life of the religion of peace's most famous preacher. Bon voyage, Abu, bon voyage!

Firstly it is great news that the UK is getting rid of this evil man!
Some interesting points to note here though.
He was first arrested here in 2003 and again in 2004 (convicted this time). That means we had 8 years to deport him back to his country of origin (Egypt) and we didn't. He is only going now because the US want him on further terrorist charges, he is being extradited to the US not deported back to where he comes from. So if the US didn't want him we would still have him here indefinitely. That is how spineless our governments are!
The case of Babar Ahmad who is also named in the wanted list is a sad sequence of events for British justice. This man has been held for 8 years without trial becuase the UK authorities handed all their evidence to the US rather than the CPS and the US have been doing what they always do with terrorist suspects in remand..... not a right lot! Sorry but whether he is guilty or not (the offence against him is running a jihadist website btw) it is disguting that the UK legal system that prides itself on being one of the best in the world can leave a man on remand for 8 years without charges or trial!

I do hear what you are saying but when they know a man is guilty of terrorism but cannot 100% stop any loop holes he would wriggle out of I think it's great we kept this scum off the streets by any means necessary it's not as if it's a petty charge, this man wants to kill innocent people in his holy war!

Jihadism (also jihadist movement or jihadi movement) is a controversial term to describe the renewed focus on armed jihad in Islamic fundamentalism
Nuff said really.

Yeah I am not downplaying it, I just mean we should have charged him and put him on trial. He would likely have got several years if we had the evidence which we are supposed to have had and the US could still have their piece of him after that.

You utter bell-end. You haven't got the first clue what you are talking about.
How fukin dare you bring me into this you moron. If you are childishly insinuating that I support these people then you really have stepped over the line.
Tell you what, in future, you keep your nasty, small-minded and bigoted views to yourself, then I won't feel compelled to respond to them

Why the 3 week wait though, get them down to Heathrow this afternoon and put on the first plane to New York. Then the yanks can transfer them to the destination of their choice. I'm concerned in the next 3 weeks another appeal will be made through some loophole and at the last minute they won't get sent to the US.

You self-righteous lot on here really are so easy to wind up, I think it is because you are arrogant, full of your own self importance. You also thing you can insult people and then squeal like little pigs when you get it right back at you.

I'm flattered that you have taken the trouble and resorted to trawling through the site looking for posts, even if you are presenting them out of context.

I should always try and remember that you are an idiot, and therefore I should not be surprised when you post idiotic stuff. I mean what else should I expect?
