3" tornado system on my car from scoobyparts. Very good quality, great sound without being over the top and best of all, pretty bloody cheap.

I had one on my newage. I agree with the build and looks, but loud though.

yes i never really considered japspeed as i find them a bit of a fart cannon.

not sure on miltek being bad quality though as said earlier on in the thread.
mine current miltek is great, nice and quiet on tickover and great on boost.
the build quality looks great, shame its a 2.75

Tubs, Milteks are supposedly one if not the best exhausts to have as I'm understood. You wanting to change to a full 3" or just the downpipe.

What are you trying to achieve mate. I have a 2.5 afterburner full turbo back system but would consider a change if I knew what I wanted to achieve, performance, reduced motorway droone, quieter system, the burble.

i think some people are missing the point of why i want a 3"", its nothing to do with the sound, im not interested in an asbo exhaust i want a good quality one that makes good power with an oemish looking tail pipe and not a bean can

Tubby get yourself a resonated centre section from RCM; it's the quietest I've heard...can't advice on the back box though as I have a super quite custom build

yes it will have a resonated back section, but i have never seen the revolution system before and looks quite good and comes with a normal tailpipe too.

well its alot better than the crap oem twin pipes the wrx came with, and the mongoose gives a distinctly different sound to other subarus ive heard, i would have preffered a 4" tail pipe myself but its what i found when i needed one quickly

I have wrapped the down pipe and centre section and have lost all the resonance. it just has a lovely deep burbly growl and words cannot describe how good it sounds on boost!!

sorry poor explanation on my part I guess; scoob exhausts normally come in three sections; downpipe, centre section and back box. I have a Hayward & Scott 3" downpipe, an RCM resonated centre section and a custom bl00dy quite back box. I brought the RCM centre section as it had the biggest resonator I could find without forking out for another custom job

yes, i didnt really want to mix and match sections but it is an option, im not to concerned about noise, just not after a pointlessly annoying loud exhaust.

im going to hang on until prodrive and hopefully can hear someone who has a h and s one.

Wouldn say they were bad quality as such on the miltek tt, but the welds around the center box are quite poor to be honest like i say its split both ends, thought it was going to be a gasket but found different when i got it on the ramp and gave it a closer look, it has cracked all the welds along the bottom around 1" long front and rear of the resonator, can be down to the guy that welded it from factory (i assume they are hand welded) never had a miltek before either which is why i came to my verdict lol, not what i wanted to find when i got under there, and its only 18 months old according to my receipts so perhaps my verdict is a little biased lol but it needs a bit more depth for me, perhaps chopping the resonator out and replacing it with a 3" slip jointed insert would help, certainly get rid of the welding anyway

just get a centre section with a resonator in (mine doesn't) I will be changing mine to a resonated one in the not too distant future, that will make it a bit quieter

Had Cobra once, didnt like the quality & it was way too loud. Exhausts I've had, Blitz Nur spec, H&S, Fujitsubu Giken(Titanium), Ganador (Titanium), 5Zigen fireball, Buddy club spec 2, RCM Team Ice & now a full RCM exhaust.

Cant fault none of them. Also had a Japspeed one which was decent, but fitment was not the best.

You wont go wrong with either of them bro.

i have gone for resonated so hopefully wont be too loud, its got a lifetime warranty so hopefully up to scratch quality wise.

i had a look at one before buying it and the welding etc looks fine.

tbh i looked at lot of exhausts and could fault any of them really, somebody said earlier on in the thread the quality of his miltek was bad but i have a miltek on now and the welding etc is excellent.

so who knows..............i just got fed up of trying to decide as they all looked the same lol

The quality of mine is top notch & resonated is not that loud atall, I'm sure you'll be happy with it, I love mine.

yes i heard one on a car and it should pass track side test and as i said i couldnt really fault the qulity on any of the ones i was considering really.

but that said they are all £500 plus systems so you would expect the welding etc to be good.

I noticed the material on the Cobra started to change colour? Blitz Nur Spec is my fav out of all of them.

that wont concern me as its under the car, not sure my neighbours would thank me if i fitted a nur spec, or it would be likely to pass trackside db test
