Ok ppl to date , the download information has been downloaded 27 times since going live
I thought it would have been a hell of alot more !!!
Are ppl just relying on the powers of mystic meg to guide them through the tunnel route ????
As i've heard many stories over the years of the tunnel run events , of loads of ppl getting lost along the route
KNOW THE ROUTE !!! Take a hour out of your day to study the route and know where your going !
Even thou i planned it , if it weren't for my garmin , i certainly would have taken a few wrong turns it's very easily done
The Printed route is excellent , as it gives you much more detailed route information !!! Please print it off and give it to your navigator on the night !!!!!
The best way to keep on track with the route, so ppl don't start getting lost , is to have a Planned group leader ! From whatever area or from whatever club you are from , please organise yourselves into groups of 5 to 6 ppl and designate a LEAD car that the other scoobs can follow
The idea being, that having a GROUP LEAD car that will have the route loaded onto a sat nav, or a good navigator with the printed route, so they can lead a pack of about 5 or 6 scoobs, this is to account for traffic light disruption of the convoy !! But you'll always get atleast 5 or 6 scoobs through a set of traffic lights !
Be careful of the speed cameras in the limehouse link tunnel, at the start , middle and end of the tunnel ! I got flashed at 36Mph !!!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaah
Rotherhithe tunnel is average speed cameras 20Mph !!
Blackwall tunnel said 30mph on the LED signs , but ppl were bombing past me at 50Mph ! and i saw NO Average , or Flash cameras about !!!!
I hope you all enjoy the night
Not long now

I know a few places including Tescos lock sections of their car parks after ten as we tried doing a similar thing for the Banzai run earlier in the year.

It use to be big there a little while ago , now they've put up the barriers to stop all that going on !
Guessing it's still a 24 hour Tesco , and there should be some avaliable parking to put your car there for 3 - 4 hours
Otherwise Odean cinema is probably tour best bet

TO ALL SAT NAV USERS !!!
Just a warning for all of you satnav users, to check the routes when they are loaded up on your Garmin or TomTom
Check the route mileage of each route !!!!
Route 1 = 31.1 miles
Route 2 = 9.9 miles
Route 3 = 21.3 miles
If your satnav is showing the route mileage as more miles than what is stated above !!
Then there has been a problem with your satnav's route calculation of the waypoints !!!!!!!!
Check the route map on your satnav and compare it with the goolge route links on this thread .
You should be able spot where the problem is happening ( the offending waypoint ) !
It's just a case of editing the route to DELETE the offending waypoint that is causing your satnav to calculate some crazy route to actually get to that waypoint !!
I found a few waypoint mis-calculations on my garmin mobile XT, i just to delete about 3 waypoints , then it calculated the route correctly
SO CHECK YOUR ROUTES AND MILEAGES PPL
You don't wanna be taken on some magical mystery tour that your sat nav has planned for you

If you've not got the icon , then you don't have the itinerary function
If you updated your tomtom to Version 8 software , you might have lost the itinerary function in the update !!!!

Oops yes I updated it yesterday! I downloaded the itinery but it went straight to the computer rather than the Tom Tom so it is there, I just don't know how to transfer it to the sat nab. Haha not to worry, makes it even more adventurous
