If that is the case, and if he had any links whatsoever to the Iranian nuclear programme then I'm sure Mossad would have been very interested in him (just like various other nuclear engineers who have been linked to Iran and have now been 'eliminated')

Perhaps he was the target afterall and the family were the innocent witnesses?

That's exactly what I said to my other half last night. What if the family were the witnesses to the killing of the cyclist.

I also said that on the first page...

I did read on Twitter, so not sure how true this is, but the Iraqi guy was a former Nuclear Scientist in Iraq before fleeing to the UK
Here's what I "think" may have happened.

Girls out of the car, playing. Killer comes up, points gun at car, he slams it in reverse (automatic?), hits the bank and keeps spinning, he shoots through glass at driver, at that point girl runs off, he shoots her, then turns his gun back on the people in the car, shoots a few through the windows, then finishes them off with two in the head. At some point the french guy on the bike turns up and was shot. Killer notices the girl isn't dead but has no more ammo so beats her!

That would explain why a) the girl was out of the car b) why the car was locked and still running when hero ex-raf man turned up and c) why the girl wasn't dead.

If it was robbery, the car would be open/unlocked.

If it was inheritance, the little girl would have been known about.

My money is on a government assassination, Dr Kelly, Princess Di, that Mi5 dude chopped up in a bag, etc, etc.

Strange how we haven't heard much about the "ex-RAF officer" that was first on the scene...

As Les said, I think enough info about him is already out there it wouldn't be difficult to find him if someone wanted to shut him up, it's probably the house with the armed guards outside.

I should imagine for now he is in protective care being hidden from the media and preventing anyone from finding out his personal details.

There was only one alleged possible witness and he was shot dead. The ex-RAF officer arrived several minutes afterwards, so he didn't witness the killings. Another person who witnessed a person wearing black shirt/jacket driving off in a Peugeot at high speed doesn't get protection? Of course he has asked for protection and that has to be respected.

Guess the bomb was a false alarm. The older woman in the car has been confirmed as the Mother-in-law but still not officially named, I believe? That seems a bit strange to me.

To me the ex RAF officer turning up in the middle of nowhere a few minutes after the mayhem was a bit coincidental, sure he's not British special forces keeping an eye on them, as said, seems to have vanished into thin air now, & no one question's it.

I have not read every post on this thread
But the guy was working on the Iran nuclear program / & indeed Israel are in final talks about an all out strike to prevent this from completion .
An Israel hit team is quite possible
just look back at Munich
any body remember "black September "
& the like for like killings that followed
- it has never stopped - you just don't hear abt it mainstream , until it's either a botched job , or witnesses have leaked info /
In all honesty tho - a hit team would have executed the children , as to not bear any witness , so it's an open book
Probs never be closed

Keeping tabs on them on a bicycle? A bit difficult when they are in a car in the Alps. He'd have to put the Tour de France cyclists to shame

Bikes fit on cars, not saying he cycled from the uk.

A lot of disinformation is starting to appear....
Police are reported to say one weapon with 7.65 rounds such as a skorpion was used, French officials deny having confirmed "the nature, calibre and number of weapons used" despite what is being reported in the media.....

Witnesses now suggest that the father was nervous and acting unusually, by moving from camp site to camp site and never parking his car close by, or in the sam eplace twice.

This suggests that that they were the targets and the cyclist a witness (if, indeed, he isnt connected in any way).

The holiday may have been an attempt at an escape from what he thought was an imminent threat at home. Being so nervous whilst on holiday seems to point to that and he feared they may have been followed. However it doesn't seem the brightest of strategies that if you fear for your life you run to somewhere remote where you would have little protection around you.

Have you telephoned the French police to tell them?

So, what happened then? Or are we gonna be left in the dark as always and the whole case dropped?

The only major new fact to have come out in the past couple of weeks is that the surviving daughter says she only saw one shooter.

This will no doubt come as a bit of a disappointment to the various conspiracy nuts who were blaming Mossad, UK or US intelligence services, since those guys tend to mostly work in pairs.

Other than that, enquiries still ongoing with cops understandably keeping any cards they have close to their chest. Any info they did divulge could only serve to tip the shooter off that they're onto him, after all.
