OK, are we talking real facts? - for the real world? - with real roads? and real everyday driving?

In which case, the Honda matches - sometimes beats - the WRX - for half the price!!

That's basically it, £6,000 OFF isn't going to make the Subaru a seller .......

yes,real world,real roads,REAL facts.

speaking of real facts how will your measly power to weight ratio make for a good overtaking car, then your antiquated suspension set up and tiny 2 pot brakes add to the real world handling experience??

maybe the impreza is expensive but for what you paid for your honda you could have got a modern performance car

which aspects does it match??

handling?? no
braking ?? no
power to weight?? no again

its cheaper but theres a reason for that, its made of cheap parts like torsion beam suspension and 2 pot brakes, the subaru was designed with performance in mind so has 4 pot brakes and independant suspension and a better power to weight ratio than your honda.

as far as i can see it has one advantage, its cheap but so is a daewoo and they are **** too.

not to mention its 4wd, you do know front wheel drive is for the feeble dont you???

so must have neck snapping acceleration.....

but power to weight ratio has a dramatic effect on this.

pete seems to avoid this fact and moves on to chilled glove boxes as they will add to the real world driving experience

well done pete, ignore the facts and insult someone instead.

facts are your car is slow, has rubbish brakes, 80's rear suspension and a laughable power to weight ratio.

so in conclusion your car would struggle to overtake a milkfloat.

trouble is he cant

138 bhp and 1350 kgs does not make a fast car
if he did get up to enough speed his paltry 2 pot brakes wouldnt stop him and his 80's suspension would throw him into a ditch.

My wife had a first generation Renault Scenic some 15 years ago. That had a chilled glove box too. It was great for keeping things cold but didn't make up for the fact the car was slow, unreliable and handled terribly.

it does in petes world.

only plus point is it will be reliable but as its using 30 year old technology they should have perfected it by now.

As if the overtaking ability isn't enough .... it looks absolutely stunning!!

You will normally only ever see the rear - but this is what the front looks like - so you know what is crawling all over your rear bumper when the Scooby has expired after the 0-60 meaningless dash

so are you going to explain how its good at overtaking with its laughable power to weight ratio???

what about the dodgy gearbox issue this model has??

whats the top speed again?? is it anywhere near the impreza after its 0-60 dash?

so the impreza is faster to 60,100 and top speed, handles better and the brakes work.

well as you cant answer any of the facts about the short comings of your car i.e its torsion beam suspension,2 pot brakes and laughable power to weight ratio ill leave you carry on trolling.

same old pete ignore proper questions and try to insult instead, nothing changes.

last thing

138 bhp nd 1350 kgs

My Scooby was 100kg lighter ..... but it had 290Nm's of Torque, not the neck snapping 350Nm's I now enjoy - more than enough to move the extra 100kg!

to be honest i like the look of the honda, it looks much better than the newer shape, my dad has one.

but you described it as a performance diesel and have yet to tell us what part makes it this??

it has a lot of torque but a stupid narrow power band and front wheel drive so its all wasted anyway.

it only has 138 bhp and weighs 1350 kgs so has a very poor power to weight ratio.

has rubbish 2 pot brakes that will get very hot very quickly trying to stop 1350 kgs.

its 80's torsion bar suspension ruins the handling of the proper type r version so would be even worse with all that extra weigh.

its not even practical, you keep banging on about the boot, but the impreza has 4 doors

i think your problem is you wanted a type r but made do with the budget version that looked similar at a distance.

now google its power to weight ratio, top speed,0-60.0-100 and 100-0 and see it beats a honda on every single one.

maybe google a laptime too as thats what performance cars are for.
