Hi John,

Yeah bit of a sh1tter really, I'm now going for the sensible approach to car ownership, and after a very expensive year, it's gonna have to go!

Catch up with you again soon

Just a thought - I am going down with the Skyline boys on the 14th too the 17th Sept ( in a Skyline ). If you look on the GTR forum ( www.gtr.co.uk ) then it may make sense to hook up together, or if not at least look at the plans and see if we can help each other !!!

Rgds,

Paul

btw... did you know that one can buy a half-yearly season ticket for the ring after 1st August and it's half price... which about the same as 2 x 12 lap tickets!!!

Wish I knew that BEFORE this weekend and I bought 36 laps

I should be able to come along (can't guarantee it), but as I live in Germany, it's a bit easier . So don't include me in any calculations - I'll just come along and watch (and drink beer ).

Cheers
Richard

No. I'm not that bothered, who'd want to steal a 1.4 Skoda when there are Evos, Scoobs, M3s and Cossies available?

Claudius

You have been warned far too often about your conduct on scoobynet.

Further action will be taken should this happen again.

Nope, Trophy Blonde and I off to Monaco for 5 days of beautiful sunsets and total lack of fizzy German beers. We will wait till it snows again later in the year.

As James has pointed out its time to make up your minds!!! There is a big race on there that weekend and accommodation is at a premium in nothing other than space.

I need to get conformations from all those that are going.

Contact me on 0870 904 6633 if you interested in going.

Ferry for James was £105
Outward Journey 20/9 at 07:00
Return Journey 23/9 at any time

Accommodation is £20 per night

Need to know ASAP

Jon

In no particular order, apart from number 1:

1. Car (very important, this one )
2. Money (you'll need it for food and lap tickets)
3. Passport
4. Green card (or at least make sure you are fully comp in Europe, as some ins companies only give you the min amount of cover ie 3rd party as a default)
5. If new to it and your pads are getting low, spare pads, but better to change before you go
6. Usual European motoring stuff eg spare bulbs, 1st aid kit, extinguisher (if not sure go to H*lfords and get their free list of what you need)
7. Camcorder and some means of mounting it securely
8. Helmet (opinion is divided on this one, but I do)
9. Octane booster (if you use it) 98 Octane is readily available about 1-2 miles from circuit
10. Clean underpants (if its your 1st time )
11. A sense of humour! You'll probably need it for when a local over takes you in a)a Lupo b)a Nova c)insert car you wouldn't normal think twice about That may well include a couple of Skodas
12. Normal camera and some film

Not a definitive list, but its a start.
