I'd love a huge Alsatian and I'd call him Tzar. That will happen when I ever buy myself a bigger house with a huge back garden; chances of that are very little. Our back garden is tiny, and the front one is not fully fenced. it wouldn't do justice to the dog.

Ownership gong well.

Nothing destroyed as yet and no "accidents" in the house. One injection down so he's able to leave the house in three weeks.

It seems to take forever until you can take them out and show them to the world. It did give me a chance to get lots of obedience training done. Could Sit, Down and Paw in the 2 weeks wait

 

Japanese / American, that arugements still goes on. S0me countries feel they are two separate breeds, some feel they are the same. The main indicator is the black nose.

Since this thread has been started, I have really been looking into the American Akita. Me and my girlfriend are looking to get a dog of our own next year if everything goes to plan. Originally we were looking at a black and tan Shiba Inu, but since looking into other breeds as well, I am very much liking the American Akita more.

We are going to go to the Crufts "discover dogs" day in March next year to meet the breeds which will give us a much better idea
