Am I wrong but don't Apple use Samsung screens for the iPad 3?
Not that I give a flying f*ck about either product

By the court of law, it's been ruled that Samsung does not copy Apple! You'll be able to see for yourself soon enough Apple's admission on their very own website, various newspapers and magazines!

No it's not. The whole system needs a shake up. HTC are playing an even ****tier game right now, buying and licensing patents from a desperate HP in order to counter sue, that's just nuts.

My problem with Apple is that they seem to have a very skewed view of the value of inventions. They see little value in the technical inventions from the likes of Samsung, Nokia etc that have taken many, many man years of R&D to produce and are fundamental to making their devices work. On the other hand they seem to see massive value in their own user interface and design patents that haven't taken anywhere near that level of investment and just make the device aesthetically pleasing and a bit easier to use. But I'm an engineer, so I would say that.

Where to start! When Apple were still developing the original MAC OS it was way behind the curve - not even proper pre-emptive scheduling or memory protection when they canned it in 2002. They had to switch to a UNIX based kernel in OS X to catch up, so took loads of technology from the original BSD UNIX and extensions from various other companies.
I don't know a huge amount about the history of iOS, but I believe it was based on OS X.
Don't get me wrong, I think Apple are great at building products that hit a sweet spot in the market and coming up with user interface innovations that make them easy to use - and the idea of an app store was genius - but I don't think they do much technical innovation and they don't acknowledge the debt they owe the rest of the industry.

Someone should fire that up again, I can almost type again and voice recognition in Mountain Lion is beyond expectations as always with Apple.
