Haha oh ok, I completely ignored a lady frantically waving yesterday in a Scoob. Was in world of my own and only saw her at the last moment! Apologies if it was anyone on here!

I even see a black blob eye on my way to work each morning and have waved at him three times now and he's ignored me every time!

I'm a hatch driver and as mentioned a few posts up I do wave, flash, nod all the time.
Today I have been into Coventry and have managed to see 3. Each time I flashed and waved and what did i get back.... NOTHING!!
Its not just us hatch owners.
One of them today looked lie a family outing.. the driver looked at me as if I was nutts when he passed me.
I just dont think people know what it means anymore. ... too many 'normal' people driving them nowadays - not just car enthuiasts

The dyeing art of tuning/modifying is select at my neck of the woods, im running a black 53 sti but tend to get a lot of waves from lads in tuned rx7's, evo etc!. I'm guessing it's people sharing the love of fast cars in the age when economy is easily sided with. I norm hang out the window throwing love to subarus and anything that's tuned/respectable and deserves respect.
Cheers Chris

I love to flash and wave it about.
My lights and hand of course..lol
Just regret sometimes when I'm not in scoob and see another scoob, I've tried flashing and waving before but they must think I'm mad so I don't bother anymore..

Tend to find I get waves from other smart 'standard' scoobs around my area, usually from bugs onwards. Many of the classics seem pretty chavved up here and have no interest in waving/flashing, so I don't bother trying any more.

Funny thread, I was thinking about this the other day after a couple of un-successful attempts at friendly passing by waves; but never expected a thread to be about it on here lol.
I have had a luke warm response, 1 wave out of 3 attempts back lately (in past month) - last one was this week near ST Neots Tesco, so if that was you in the very nice looking modded bug eye, cheers! (I was in the black blob eye Wagon heading up the road to the A1)

Hmmm, I was thinking I was being ignored because I own a lowly 'sport'. I'm fairly new to scoobs having come from a decade of Toyota MR2s, I used to get waves, flashes, smiles etc...even when I had the old AW11.
Im from Gosport and see dozens of imprezas of all generations everyday, only ever had one wave and that was from a happy chappy in a blue Hawkeye. I even got ignored recently by a blue classic sport driver
Come on peeps, give us a wave if you're down here...its rather lonely. My 'flying Pickle' is a green sport with gold wheels, UEL manifolds and a 4" tailpipe.

See a Scooby and give a wave!
There seems to be little enthusiasm from drivers of older cars particularly the classics and bugs towards newer ones, I tend to be ignored by them
Blobs, hawks and other hatches can be comically over-exuberant

I love waving at other drivers. I love driving my car and i hope you enjoy it too! I don't care whether i know you or not.
If you're driving another scoob and see me, expect a wave.
