The Interceptor

That's the guy that gave his pilot (Mikey) a load of stick and used to screech at the contestants.

Macgyver was very crap - There was one episode when they *******ised the entire mini escape from the Italian job and transported it to some american small town kept switching between grainy 60s film set in turin to full colour american setting. I mean wtf ?!?

MacGvyer was tops! I had to watch it in my bedroom, cos my sister didn't like it

All I can remember is Richard Dean Anderson making bombs out of pine cones

It was a bit like Jonathen Creek in that he had a few items to use to a) get out of locked room, b) trap someone. It was always the case of that would never work! but compelling viewing

For daytime TV, Dick Van Dyke in Diagnosis Murder is pretty good!

There was an episode last week with a sabotaged Nascar team guest starring Marina Sirtis, Councillor Troi from Star Trek TNG.

That toy Airworlf is on of the ERTL ones isn't it? I had the Faceman's A-Team Corvette, metal body which lasted ages, unlike my plastic Mattel A-Team van, which got trod on...

Diagnosis Murder is a mere pretender when compared to the might of Quincy. IMHO, obviously.

Was over in Canada this winter and they had "No Superbowl Night" on one channel. The alternative: 12 hours of Murder she Wrote. Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. I opted for the Watching Paint Dry special on Discovery instead.

Don't you realise this thread is showing how old we're all getting!

What about a bit of saturday morning tat - the Greatest American Hero....where the woody Allen lookalike found a suit that gave him superpowers when he wore it (every kid's dream!)

have I missed something or has no-one mentioned THE DUKES OF HAZARD - sheer class. That car must have been the most buckled upon every landing. Great jumps though. Can you imagine living in the sleepy town??

Did anyone see Vic Reeves on Shooting Stars when they took this **** out of The A Team??

"Let's Modify the Van!"

They stuck a hairbrush on the bonnet as a bullet deflector!!!

Also - they did one on Hart to Hart too.....

"That's Mr Hart.... he's my boss!"

Thanks guys, I could remember the show tales of the Golden Monkey, but couldn't remember the title. The plane was called Cutter's Goose I think. What was Star Fleet? I have some vague memory of it.

apparently the robot was put in by Brit TV to replace the action scenes the jap tv companies had made origianly but were deemed to "hard core manga styley" for soft little brit kids!

I have to say to whoever mentioned Quincy, you da man!!! That is one top quality show, I mean the guy just get's so excited about everything. Brit crime dramas are always about some depressing detective who has a sh*t life and is divorced from his wife etc. etc. Serious Downer! The big 'Q' is the king of daytime TV. Airwaolf was good when I was 12 'cos it was a helicopter with guns, similar story with knightrider. Now I think Stringfellow Hawk is a chauvinist anti-russian swine and KIT is definately gay!

The Duke's car was cool but the story is just totally lacking, every episode's the same! The A-Team is just the absolute nutz where I'm concerned, total class!
