Very nice mate although, and no disrespect to you at all, you've confirmed my suspicions that I wouldn't like dark wheels on it. So thanks for that, I was in 2 minds as to what colour wheels to go for!

with the engine rebuilt did you upgrade the turbo and what sort of power are you driving through it?

No the turbo is still standard. Not been dyno'd since rebuild but should be standard output, 280-290bhp.
Looking for H&S de-cat down pipe and sport cat centre then a nice re-map should hopefully take her around the 350 mark

Had a very similar engine rebuild on my spec d. I have a tracktive solutions exhaust fitted to it & it's with the std turbo.
I had it mapped just after all the work was complete, about two years ago now.

I have included the map curve below from a couple of months ago, this is when the map was checked. It might give you some sort of idea of the power and torque figures you can expect.
Cheers Warren

Thats very impressive Warren. A nice curve with some good torque there. Looks like an uprated rebuild gives you ultimate gains even with standard turbos.

I've also got an uprated exhaust (was on the car when I bought it). Apparently it's an official Subaru optional extra upgrade but it's not a Prodrive one

Very nice curves there mate. Who was it mapped by?

I had Andrew Carr to do the map, he was impressed with it himself too

Just a little thread revival. I maybe looking to sell the Impreza as I'm going to become a daddy in June next year so going to need something a little more family orientated and economical
I've done a bit of scouting about for a price I should be looking for for her but they seem to range from 6k for a relatively high miler to 15k for a low mileage, forged engine example.
Given the info on the front page of this thread and the fact she's near enough immaculate and only 48,500 miles what price would you guys put her at?
This isn't a for sale as by the way, just looking for info!

Decided around the 11k mark, does this seem reasonable?

Well I'm going off what other forged hawk STI's seem to be going for at the moment. If it doesn't sell for that I'll consider lowering the price.

I'd be inclined to out it up for £10400 and take £10k for it.
Looks lovely though!

Thanks guys. Can't believe I'm selling! Like I've mentioned I've hardly driven her in the year and half I've owned her and now she's up for sale!

I went for the misConception of a family means you need more economical car. So bought an insignia diesel on my first daughter in June 2010. Then realised I don't need anything economical. Didn't make a difference. Sold insignia. So went to buy a sti. Found out misses was pregnant with 2nd child. Panicing bought a Mazda 6 2.2d. Dunno why I Paniced again. Realised again I don't need the economy so looking for my sti again. Be careful your making the right choice. Impreza is more than big enough for family life.

I know what you're saying but the mrs doesn't like the ride, the noise, the power so basically everything that makes an STI an STI haha!
Don't worry though the replacement vehicle has 258bhp, 0-60 in 5.8 secs, 443lbs/ft torque and 40odd MPG! Plus lots of toys and luxury!
