Well it is lucky that I ordered the panel from Japan as the heater controls from the later Blobeye / Hawkeye definitely will not work on my Spec C due to the recirculation controls on mine being cable operated, the later recirculation controls are electrically operated.
It could be made to work by swapping out the complete heater system and all the controls for it, but no thanks it is just too much work and expense.

Well below is the finished result in matt black with a Forester single din pocket conversion, all the work was carried out by Prodriverules (Ryan) including the painting.
To say I am pleased would be a big understatement, well worth carrying out to a pre MY05 Impreza.

As you can see the inside still requires a bit of a clean but that is only a formality as the car is also having other work carried out as well.
Anyone considering any form of bodywork repairs especially paintwork should contact Ryan as you won't be disappointed by his work.

Looking really good...must get some pictures of my interior, as I've had the centre console stuff etc done in "soft touch" black, the same as Toucan
I did my gear stick gaiter with black hex-head screws, otherwise the look is suprisingly similar

Get some pics up Tim, there appears to be quite a few of us either swapping out the old type console for the newer type in black, or changing the colour of their consoles over to black.
