Bad luck is good luck in this case then, as said lucky the issue didn't rear it's head later on during mapping.

Ever silver lining has a cloud etc.

Ideally I suppose a great quality split block so that the plans can continue but that looks like a rare option - I've seen some long/short motors F/S on here with the help of Ty Merv's block is Thinking time at the moment

I can't remember what was included with Merv's engine, but the pistons you've got won't fit the 22.

I'm glad to be able to help Simon, even if it's just a matter of pointing you in the right direction.

Gone and come back

Also got my pug head done as the headgasket had gone. There's something nice about a freshly machine head.

Always good when the give you clean and polished head!!

But not good with that block Rich, glad you stripped it now, as that would have gotten EXPENSIVE otherwise, and glad Si didn't fit it without you checking too. Close call really.

Open i think Si with standard internals. Been ideal for a build if it was SCD or CDB.

It'll probably be pug. Having a nightmare trying to find a block local enough to check over. There is one in Barry but it has done over 100k, looking at richd's again to see if it can be repaired. There seems to be plenty of blocks around but the are miles away!

After weeks of searching and not coming up with a block for Simon I hav thought outside the box (or engine bay)

I've picked this up to break. So shortly we can start work on the Bug again I drove it back and goes ok. Originally purchased from Kieth Price, so someone may know it.
